OVC Chesapeake (1-6; 0-2) @ River Valley (1-6; 0-2)

Post by fuzzhead »

Game of the week in the OVC, perhaps?

A battle that will likely determine who stays out of the cellar of the OVC.

I might actually resort to a coin flip to pick this one. . . nah, I just can't pull the trigger on the Raider upset. Chesapeake by two TDs.

To my knowledge, River Valley has never beaten Chesapeake.

Pbuck, did you really flip a coin to decide? If so, that's awesome!

RV will not win. They are just too overmatched by size every game. I wish them luck however.

I don't know. . . River Valley played South Point very tough for about a quarter and a half. They played Fairland just as tough, if not tougher than Rock Hill did. This Chesapeake team could be the worst since maybe 1995.

River Valley remains winless on the field after this one.

Hate to say it but RV by 12, unless CHS gets several big plays , which is the only way they have been scoring.

It's definitely an interesting matchup.
RV gave them a decent game last year.

RV really didn't look that bad..
But they were extremely small. They didn't look any bigger than a middle school team.
There best friend for this game could be the mud so they don't get to over powered on the line.

Chesapeake has a few bigger kids but cant overpower anybody. I have seen quite a few OVC games this year and by far they are the worst. Seen their JV play though and they actually look better than the varsity. Granted, the whole varsity line are sophomores, look out for them to pull off some upsets the next two years.

Yeah, Chesapeake has only under classmen on the line, which will help in the up coming years if they all stay and keep working hard to get better.

Man! Just three seasons ago the Peake was on top of the OVC. Now they're fighting just to stay out of the cellar! :122246

Hopefully, the spirit of late-90s/early 2000s Chesapeake will somehow fill the Panthers tonight and they'll be able to grab a victory.
