Week 5: Coal Grove (1-3;1-0) @ Rock Hill (3-1;1-0)

Post by sballchck »

It's a battle of Arch Rivals for the driver's seat in the OVC!

Is Rock Hill for real?

Can Coal Grove repeat as conference champs?

We won't know for sure until Friday Night, but what do you think will happen?

Brian Kidd returns to his alma mater, and comes out victorious. Coal Grove will have to work for it though.

Coal Grove 28
Rock Hill 24

These boys are playing with heart and dedication. They are playing as a team and don't care how they win. There is no "I" mentality or one wanting to stand out. This team wants to win as a team. They give it there all the whole game. From start to finish. They could've gave up against Chesapeake at the beginning of the third down 20-6 and chesepeake ball but the defense stepped up and produced a big turn over. I'm enjoying watching this team play together. As long as they keep playing as a team they'll win some more games. Maybe even a conference tittle.

Just the second conference game of the season, talk about OVC champs is way too early. Am enjoying the turn around, for this bunch, fun to watch that never say die attitude.

There is no way Rock Hill wins a conference title.

If Coal Grove can show a little more fire and energy on offense this week then the Grove should win this game.

Before anyone says anything, yes I know we won last week but we should have put up 42 on South Point, the Grove had zero fire on offense, I mean we were stopped at the goal line, that should not happen.

I believe the Redmen have a good shot at winning this game as long as they keep playing with heart, and never giving up. They need to keep playing for each other. As long as they don't turn the ball over, and the defense plays relentless like they did against Peake, they will win this game.

Turnovers and the kicking game will determine the winner.

For some strange reason I get the feeling that one team will return a kick or block a punt, and then that Rock Hill kicks a late Field Goal, of all things, to win this one.

This game will be the talk at McDonald's and the Freezette for years.

It's been 10 years since Rock Hill beat the Hornets and this will be the best chance the Redmen have had to do it in almost as long. The Rock Hill faithful have been demanding the coach's head for quite some time now but all of a sudden, the Redmen are in the playoff picture. This one should be fun and should draw a pretty big crowd.

This game will determine if Rock Hill is a contender or a pretender in the OVC.

I gotta go with CG in a small win here 26-20, unsure of redmen I have not seen them play! but for rh to comeback from a 20-6 deficit to a good Chesapeake team I don't think teams should be viewing rh as just another win. gotta be something up out their in hill country

good luck to both
hopefully no injurys
