Week 6:Fairview (KY-4-2) @ Coal Grove (2-3)

Post by linedrive »

Coal Grove won 33-21 at Rock Hill last week, Fairview defeated Lexington Christian (2A ranked 5 in the state) 50-34. Fairview was ranked 11 in Class A as of last week. Thoughts?

Fairview knocking off Lexington Christian last week was a surprise... Fairview likes to score and score often. Their power is in their Running game. Their only two losses are to Madeira Ohio Div 5:18... lost 29-20 and Lawrence County Kentucky 40-14.... Two very decent teams. In every win Fairview has scored OVER 45 Points. This could be a good game if Coal Grove plays physical, but sadly I think Fairview gets the W.

This is one of the wins I said the grove can get. It's just another KY team and if you can't beat the teams out of Ky then you don't have to worry about winning in the play offs in Ohio. Grove wins it.

You are correct. They do have 2 decent receivers. Theyll throw Bubble screens n crazy out routes. This team is a dual threat. And was in a State Championship game a couple years ago.

I think Fairview will fly right past the hornets in this one.

I think the Hornets take this one. Marion Pleasant was supposed to blow out the Hornets tot start the season, but they didn't and the Hornets were just starting to figure out the new direction they were going. I highly doubt Fairview is as good at MP. Plus the Hornets after these past 2 wins are right where they want to be. I see them winning by 10.

If it continues to rain like this, Grove will stand a chance to get the win. Should be an exciting game to watch
