Week 8: Logan (6-1) at St. Francis De Sales (6-1)

Post by OICU812 »

Well, after a disappointing loss in Week 7 against a very good Jackson team, Logan comes into this game needing a win. De Sales comes into this game after a win against Warrensville Heights (Div. 5, 3-4). The Stallions only loss on the season came to Division 1 state ranked Lancaster by 10 points.

In the unofficial computer rankings, Logan dropped from 2nd to 6th in the region. This is a must win imo, with Logan playing Gallia and Warren in the last two weeks in the season, both 0-7, won't get really any points from either of them.

Everybody's thoughts?

Not sure about McBride, but if he's out, the Chiefs are without. He's the balance maker for the offense, imo. With him it all clicks. De-Sales will be ready for the pass. Not making a prediction on this game, they've played each other tough in the past and Logan has won a couple I do believe. Ole Billy may have a game plan ready if McBride is on the sidelines. We will all have to wait and see.

It would be tough enough with a healthy Mcbride ,but without him they have practically no chance IMO.It will also be tough to get back up mentally after that draining tough loss to the Iron, so they might be flat in the big city. Not sure but I think Desales has a big time cornerback and he will be like glue on Smith so Wallace or somebody else will have to step up.According to the Logan announcers Logan's line pretty much got dominated against Jackson, that don't bode well against these guys.Who knows how Logan defense will handle that power running game of the Stallions,DeSales wins 42-17

Yep, he looks pretty good. That's why I said they will be pass ready on the Chiefs. Ole 0-7 Canal Winchester played the Stallions pretty tough this year. Think the score was like 27-22. Hope Mr. Burke has something ready if our Balance maker is on the sidelines. We wasn't ready on the fly when McBride went down early against Jackson. Jackson knew we would pass more after he was sidelined, and went after Lane and it worked for them. Other than that I think it would have been a different outcome, and more points would have been on the board if McBride wouldn't have gotten injured, but it is what it is, JMO. Stallions will be a tall order, but I'm not counting out the Chiefs just yet.

Canal did play them close early in the year, don't know how they managed that. That cornerback is also their top running back I think and if he gets in the open field Logan can just wave goodbye. :aaaaa10

Could be. Hope Mr. Burke spends some serious time in practice this week with the D, in an "Amyx" style fashion. This kid for the stallions you are talking about "can't" be brought down up around the shoulder pads.    ;-)

He can sure lay the wood! Logan better clear their noses and buckle them chinstraps tight.

A loss here puts Logan on the bubble. Too bad about McBride. He is a big part of the team. Who'd have thought Warren and Gallia would be" O for "this late ?

Ah... the points system. And Logan's reward for beating last year's state runner-up, current leader of the MSL-Buckeye, and an improved Meigs among others is... finishing the season with Gallia and Warren who will combine to go 1-19.

Aside from the DeSales game, what's going to be the best hope for Logan to make up for the L2 average that is going to get hit hard? Hope Athens and Meigs go 7-3 and 8-2, respectively? Teays could be good for 7-3. Cambridge looks like they're dead in the water for the last three weeks.

Good luck, Logan. May the best purple and white win.

Sure is, McBride was a big 50% of bringing in the bacon. Any news on his condition, Paladin?

With a loss you are not on the bubble, you have a 14% chance.

Unless you know more math than Drew Pasteur (which is possible after all you are Paladin), here is his prediction.

Playoff chance
27% now (need 9-1)
5% chance of a home game
99% with a win in next game, and 14% with a loss

Hope the kid everyone is talking about above gets healed up, DeSales is not invincible, good luck.

Since you know so much about Logan Jim Dandy Don, the kid above got injured "early" in the 1st Q in the Jackson game or things might have been different. Logan could have been 7-0 going into the De-Sales game but it is what it is. You know nothing about Logan. Do us a favor, and go flap your lip's somewhere else buddy!! You just keep stirring and stirring. Get lost!!

Let's not forget that Jackson lost its best linebacker , and best blocking end in Potter

Also lost a tailback and starting d back in Conley

Both early in the game

No ones forgetting nothing Mr. 96. McBride was 50% of Logan's go go juice is all I'm saying. Never said would have been 7-0, I said "could" have been.
