As long as Waverly plays hard and never gives up we'll be proud of our Tigers. The last two years have been a blast. Some of the best Tiger football in a while without a doubt. And with several solid classes coming up the future looks extremely bright. Hopefully we can get through this one injury free and more on. Go Tigers!!

Burg machine continues on here.

Gonna be hard to not look ahead to what looks like a Week 14 appearance and how OHSAA matches them up with the other Region winner. Another great year for the Pirates program.

How does a team prepare for Burg? Even their kickoff team gives team fits. And most preparation is in vain only. Outcome for the most part is determined. Only thing left to see....is the West side for real. No other SOC contenders.

doubleplay643,
If you're looking ahead to Week 14 in Week 7 you won't get to Week 14.I doubt the Burg coaching staff will let that happen.
Now as for this game. IMHO Waverly played better than Wheelersburg did last year at Waverly. For that to happen again, the Tigers need to get the offense going early and play excellent defense. If your Burg just do what you've been doing it seems to be working. No prediction Tigers need A+ game with some kids banged up. I have no doubt both coaches will habe their teams ready to go Friday night.

That's a fact! Teams are at the mercy of the Burg kickoff team. Oak Hill couldn't even catch the ball on the couple kickoff opportunities they had. If a team does catch the kickoff ball you can guarantee 10 helmets are going to great them.

Burg teams in recent years have been outstanding. This team is superb. I'm still waiting to see a competitive game this year.

I was just reading on OHSAA website, all Divisions are playing on Friday night through the first 4 rounds. That absolutely sucks. I loved being able to go out on Saturday night to a ball game. They are blaming it on College football playing more night games and having an attendance issue because of that. Lol. How lame is that? Then they said they were having problems of getting hosts to host on Saturday as well (I call BS). What do you guys think? Have you heard this?

Waverly has a solid QB, but without a Marquez-like player on the team this year, Burg does not have much to worry about. Burg by 30.
