The Cadets have only lost to D7 power Mogadore in the opener.
Have handed D4 Beaver Local it's only loss, beat Martins Ferry and Wheeling Central. Have games left at River and Shadyside.
Linsly has week 11 game at unbeaten Kiski Prep (PA). Being prep school allows extra games as its not member of WVSSAC.

Since Linsly can’t compete in WV playoffs does the games count for Ohsaa playoffs?

No, it's a college prep school. Kids who go there are usually held back a year.

It would suck to play football. and have no chance what so ever at competing for a championship. i know we got teams in the area who have NO CHANCE but if they was good enough they could atleast go..

Many prep schools do play 19 year olds, Lonely does not.carbon_dated wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 7:16 pm No, it's a college prep school. Kids who go there are usually held back a year.

That's where you're wrong Jake. When a student transfers to Linsly, like say, in the 8th grade, they hold you back a year so you can get acclimated to it's higher academics. So that would eventually lead to a 19-yr. old playing. That's why not many want to schedule them.

Linsly is not a member of the WV Secondary School Athletic Association. However they compete in the OVAC and the Interstate Prep School League (Pa-Oh).
Linsly has strong and varied sports programs for its size, but their main purpose is building strong academics and discipline in their student body.
Public schools know what they are getting in to when they schedule Linsly.

I have two co workers that have grandchildren that go to Linsly and both say , no 19 year olds. They follow same age requirements that WV and Ohio does. That does not mean there isn't a 19 year old on the team as long as they do not turn 19 before Aug 1.carbon_dated wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 4:19 pm That's where you're wrong Jake. Daniel Bangura is 20 years old as of August 2017. From Harvest Prep. The rule is you can't turn sixteen years on or before August 1st of your eighth grade year. And if you meet that criteria, you have 4 years of eligibility in highschool.outerbanksjake wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 10:44 amMany prep schools do play 19 year olds, Lonely does not.carbon_dated wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 7:16 pm No, it's a college prep school.
