Big game for both programs for both momentum and to not finish dead last in the conference.

I have watched both play vs Burg. I think its a coin flip and one or two turnovers will definitely be the difference. Both teams struggle at the LOS on offense but I was impressed in how hard Valley played against Burg. They seem quicker than Minford overall and played very hard. That may be the edge they have over the Falcons this year.

I kind of like Valley in this one as well. Home game for Minford, but will still take Valley.

This should be a real nice match-up. Perhaps Minford has a little more incentive after how this game played out last year.

I give a slight edge to Valley but this game could go either way. Is JT Ward back playing for Valley?

Heard that there might be some changes at QB Friday night for the Falcons. Should be interesting to say the least.

There seems to be a lot of talk between Valley fans on this thread, but no comments from Minford fans. I believe this is going to be a great game between two teams that have struggled this year, but pounding your chest over a 3-6 record for either team is a joke!

Thanks Brother! Even with our less than expected records for the season, I still expect this to be the epic Lucasville-Minford Road battle that we have come to look forward to every year between our teams. Here's to a great competitive game and everyone staying healthy to begin basketball season.

So are they going with the freshman that was so good last year? He's one heck of an athlete that's for sure.

^ I agree, this kid is the real deal! If the Freshman QB starts then I'll give the edge to the Falcons. If so, good move by coaching staff, this will give the youngster some experience heading into next year.

So you give the advantage to a team with a first time starter that is a freshman at quarterback? If he makes Minford that much better then why has he not played until week 10?

I heard they were going to look at the sophomore and freshman at QB. I said they should have started the freshman from the beginning but what do I know

From what I understand, the coaching staff was intrigued with Kelley's speed for the QB position. They thought he could provide a balanced run/pass game. However, the passing aspect of his game has struggled in the past few weeks so I think the coaches are wanting to look at different options for next year. The freshman has a cannon for an arm. By far the best on the team. The sophomore may have the best pocket presence out of the 3 but is the slowest by far.

Who wouldve thought at the begining of the season that both of these teams would end up with losing records.

That's very good question. IMO, he should have been starting since week 4. Cannon for an arm and very good speed. He should be fun to watch the next 3-yrs.

Each program has some good young talent coming up through the ranks and I think many people thought that this would be a down year
for both schools. I doubt that we expected a 3-7 or 4-6 (at best) record, but the future looks brighter for Valley and Minford over the next
couple years.
