Nelsonville-York 26 Fort Frye 20 (2017 RD2 Playoffs)

Post by Orange and Brown »

The Cadets pulled out a win in the closing seconds and the Buckeyes dominated Shadyside.
Thoughts?

How far apart are these schools? Record vs each other? Where will the game be played?

It will be Fort Frye's defense vs NY offense. This will be the best D NY has seen all year. As for site, Marietta even though it is closer to Fort, Sheridan, New Lexington or Zanesville are possibilities.

I don't think Fort Frye has faced a team with the speed that the Buckeyes have.

I’m still spinning from the game tonight. Wow I know this game will be an uphill battle but the Fort Frye D just held a 2500 rusher to 87 yards on 33 carries. Fort Frye coming into tonight allowed 8 ppg. They blew out Shenandoah and SCC and both those teams just lost heartbreakers tonight. I think this could be the best 2 teams left in 23.

Nelsonville is about one hour or 52 miles from Beverly.

Athens could be a neutral site location too.

A lot of folks think it will be at Athens. I wouldn't mind. Nice facility and it's 10 minites up the road....
Not sure Fort Frye would be thrilled though.

No turf at Meigs. I think the game will be north of both like Sheridan or New Lex. I think River vs Portsmouth East will be at Athens

I'm not sure. I'd say New Lex (hope not) or Athens.

Both teams are about equal distance from Zanesville. Zanesville, Maysville and Philo all have turf.
