Never seen JM. Heard they are hard nosed. Encouraged that the Oak Hill score wasn't a massacre because Oak Hill isn't very good. West is playing tough. Hopefully we can get another win.

This should be a very competitive game. Hoping for a west victory!

Are Chillicothe and Waverly possibilities? If so, I would think this game and Burg/CA might go to those two places.

Man with all the games on Friday now there's no telling how this one will go. One of these teams I think will end up traveling 30-40 min. longer then the other. Question is with being a straight shot up and down 23 would Waverly be to close to P-West, Chillicothe looks like they could host Burg or maybe this game and Zane Trace I don't know how they'll view them in terms of seating. Wasn't crazy about it when I was there for a game earlier this year. Zane Trace with the new turf field could be a possibility.

Athens has hosted a lot of SOC vs Columbus area teams in the past. Wouldn't be shocked if The Burg or West ends up in Atown next Fri.

By my math (and Google Maps), these are the approximate distances for each school from Waverly and Chillicothe:

Waverly
Burg: 47 minutes
Columbus Academy: 1 hour, 23 minutes
West: 41 minutes
Johnstown: 1 hour, 40 minutes

Chillicothe
Burg: 1 hour, 8 minutes
Columbus Academy: 1 hour, 8 minutes
West: 1 hour, 3 minutes
Johnstown: 1 hour, 25 minutes

That's one of the reasons I tossed Zane Trace out there with their new turf field as a possible host, if they put in for it. Not that they typically go by it but with Burg being the #1 seed and CA #5 a Waverly venue wouldn't shock me. Making the 2 and 3 seed teams almost smack in the middle playing at Chillicothe.

I see J-Town winning by 21-28, if they have zero turnovers.

In the portsmouth paper it says PM west coach is from central Ohio and knows the Jtown team really well
Did he coach anywhere or just from Columbus ?

There is no way this game goes to Hamilton Township. Logan and Athens would be my guess.

I really hate to say it but I think this is the end of a good season for West. I think it will be a game that will mirror the Burg game, JM will shut down Hurd and force the QB to make plays. He is the difference maker for them IMO. He tends make a lot of bad decisions, throwing (when he should run), running (when he should throw), and taking sacks (when he should throw it away). This can’t happen against good teams and you can only lean on your Defense so long, As they seen against Burg, The game will get away from you quick. Don’t get me wrong he is a decent athlete and not bashing nor being negative just stating he is the difference maker for this team, If he plays well they have a great shot to WIN, If not it will be the end of the road.
Good Luck to the Senators (Siders)
