When will schools announce coaching changes

Post by football freak »

Just recently got back into high school football. Very surprised how the tides of high school football have changed over the years. School who were dominant in the past are struggling to come by wins. Other schools have greatly elevated their programs. With that being said I see numerous coaching changes occurring in the near future. Curious to see what ones will happen this year and how soon they will happen. Most coaches would want to as much off season time with a their team as possible. Thoughts?

Some schools have to wait for their coaches 1 year contracts to run out. But if I was sure I was making a coaching change I would address it right after the season was over.

Schools dont usually "announce" this sort of thing. You just have to have your ear to the ground.

Contract is usually over after the season is over and paperwork is turned in then signed off on. Then you have school board meetings. Some will come out and say they will not rehire while others wait until they hire. Different school districts do that different ways. While some say one thing go in a different direction. Also just because the person is hired/fired in one meeting does not mean that changes by the next meeting when the minutes are approved. Basically in some cases it is a CRAP shoot. With more crap than shoot.
