I have no idea, but I think it's overdue. as great a people as this staff is. they're not getting it done on the gridiron.let's be honest here, sports is about wins n losses and the final record.

Ironton loses 6 Seniors from this years team, should be a pretty good season as long as we don't have anyone transfer out.

Depending on schedule 5-5 would be a guess maybe 7-3 or alot of crying fans at 4-6 again lol

Ironton only went 4-6, because over half of the starter's miss the last 3 games.
Next year if they stay health 7-3 or 8-2, would be my guess.

Ironton went 4-6 because of poor coaching and moving to an offense that they did not have the players to run it. Bottom line!

It seems the last few years they always have a ton of injuries

The only bright spot I see for next year is that a lot of young players got valuable varsity experience. Other than that, I am not expecting much.

me either friend.i'm upset that I'm not hearing anything at all about a coaching change. how far does ironton fighting tiger football have to fall before they take the pride in the program and take the steps to make a change. I've said it 100 times. great people on the staff, just not getting it done on the field, and in the weight room. a losing record of 4-6 is simply unimaginable to me. I take nothing from that league. but it is down in comparison to other leagues and would have been unheard of as recent as 2007.

I think they are afraid to make a change but will be forced to when people stop attending games. I also think it is detrimental to the kids in the lower grades. When I was in grade school and Junior High, I wanted nothing more than be a Fighting Tiger when I got to high school. Will that be the same for the younger kids if the Tigers are a mediocre team for several years?

I have no idea if it's true. but i heard from a very reliable source that the ironton head coach was asked to resign at a board meeting and he refused to. and another coach on the staff threatened a union grievance if he was let go.can anyone confirm this. and if so , is this not the cart pulling the horse here.

My question is: At what point does the people of Ironton put their foot down and say I AM NOT SETTLING FOR AVERAGE. Average is exactly what we are as a program right now.

It is time to move on from Coach Vass (wish him the best, he is a great man). But some people are just not cut out to be a head coach.

At this point, I am hoping for change soon. Before the empire crumbles completely.

Just like Tenn Fans not wanting anyone less than Jon Gruden to Coach.

If we keep vass, mark my word, we will lose some kids who will transfer out next year. We better right the ship now.
