Woohoo! Way to play Pirates! I was worried when Trent got hurt but the Oline and blocking back stepped up to keep pressure off and the Burg offense showed what it could do and what a comeback! And as for the defense, all 4 qtrs gentlemen, and then some huh!! Wow!!

WOW, congrats to Burg on bringing a State Championship not only to your school but to Southern Ohio. Listened to this one on the radio and man oh man was that a battle. Thought going in this one had the potential to be one of the better games of the weekend and it lived up to it. The Rayford kid played REALLY well against one of the toughest teams against the run also sounded like the DL who was all state for Eastwood really made his presence . Burg made plays when plays HAD to be made and Eastwood really made the plays when they needed to as well, including the huge 57 yard punt to flip the field at the end of the game but the fumble in OT is going to be the heart breaker in this one. Both teams were well deserving of being called champions but on this day only 1 team can prevail. CONGRATS TO WHEELERSBURG PIRATES YOUR 2017 DIVISION V FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPIONSSSSSSS.

Mattash, #63 nick parsley. De, 13 tackles total. In the mix all game in the backfield. If it wasn’t for Keeny getting all those receptions, parsley would be my player of the game. But the whole D did a good job of shutting them down, especially on the edges. Except for their last td drive where they pulled the guard to confuse the d and 26 took them down the field, Burgs D played lights out!
