He'll be outstanding until he makes some parent who's son should be starting mad. He needs to grasp the concept that if dad was good son probably is too. If he does he'll do well, and he's a defensive mastermind so he'll stymie the offenses in the TVC.

Just because dad was good, doesn't mean son will be. That mentality is what is wrong in our schools. Maybe dad went to a different school and was good, shouldn't that kid get a chance, or maybe the parents didn't play sports, don't those kids get a chance to play either? Coaches in ANY sport should pick kids to play based on abilities not family ties.

I've been hearing very good things coming out of RV with the hire of Coach Peck. Good weight room numbers, good attitudes of the kids who are ready and fired up to play for Coach Peck. Looking forward to the fall and the 2018 RV Raider Football season!

Have they hired a coach yet? They better get on the stick. And don't hire some retread who couldn't cut it at a different school and/or a different level. Get a proven winner. Meigs did and look what they have now. Success!

Send me a PM and I will get you in contact with Bartrum, I am sure he would really appreciate hearing positive feedback. He sure has been good for the young men in maroon and gold.

I don't need to pm you. I've given Bart "positive feedback" countless times. I think more people should do so. He's been the rock of the athletic programs for several years now, and I agree he should get even more positive messages.

Should be at least 6-4, the talent in that school warrants such expectations

2-8. It's going to be tough sledding for RV this year. They will most likely start out 0-6. The front of the schedule is tough. Facing CG and GA in back to back weeks to only get a typically athletic Portsmouth team followed by N-Y is ridiculous.

4 weeks from tonight we get it started with Week 1 against Coal Grove.

I am excited for this season for the Raiders, and excited to see what Coach Peck does with this still fairly young Raiders team.

I am most excited to see this huge 15 member (I believe) Junior class, that has gotten plenty of experience as Freshman and definitely as Sophomores last year. Burns, Peck, Young, etc. Also excited for the small yet talented Senior class with VanSickle, Lemley, Fitch, etc.
