Athens is good pickup for the Dragons but Tolsia only won two games last season and Waverly figures to be in a major rebuild. Still Fairland seems to be trying to build their program.

Here’s how I see it going.

1. Coal Grove (defense will hurt losing a lot of starters, but tons of talent returning for the grove with what will be a solid senior class)
2. Rock Hill (tons of talent comes back, played a lot of underclassman last year)
3. Ironton (has the talent, who knows if they can put it together after the garbage fire that started last year, players “maybe” transferring will impact too)
4. Gallia (The new coach is building a program, returns solid players, you could flip them or ironton.)
5. Fairland (lost their two best players, return Lambiotte, Wilcoxon, and Sowards, but not a whole lot more)
6. Portsmouth (shaky coaching situation and if the rumors of Parker to the burg are true, Portsmouth will be a bottom feeder
7. Chesapeake (could flip them or Portsmouth depending on if Parker plays. The quarterback is a heck of a runner, just still don’t see much there this year)
8. South Point (Hopefully they can get players out to play, tough situation there with the youth)

Sounds like a pretty good assessment of the league to me. Guess we will have to wait and see how this list compares to results at end of next season.

I'd put Portsmouth at the bottom they lost a stud qb, every lineman but the Boehm kid, and there toughest defensive player. They will be lucky to beat south point

I can't see the Trojans as a serious contender for even the upper half of the OVC. New coach facing major personnel losses from 2017. A startover for a program that is well acquainted with startovers. GO TROJANS!!!

YTB: Coach Duncan resigned last week. We are looking for another head football coach, and hopefully the right one.

Fairland hosting Athens. Not a bad replacement for Burg lol. Still don’t understand why Chesapeake continues to play Symmes Valley

Trojans are going to be in possible trouble. The whole line leaves except one. Going to be all new faces. Parker won't matter if the line can't block. Qb situation is another. I'm guessing the lattimore kid starts. I'd like to see us throw the ball more. Spread the field. We need to condition really bad. Try not to play both ways. We had 50 kids and used about 12 it seemed like. Do not base the offense off one player. We saw what happened when Parker went down. We fell apart. Going to be interesting. With the team and Friday. I was told Friday is when they announce Duncan resigned and new guy in. Also rumor Duncan's brother left as well.

It would be nice to see Rock Hill Vs. Coal Grove for the OVC Championship Week 10.

it wasn't that long ago that the vikes were beating the panthers regular. but I understand what you're saying. but it's a big money game. and most of the time the Vikings are more than game. but they have fallen of some. I'd love to see fairland knock off Athens. that's how you build a program.i didn't realize tolsia had only won 2 games.
