Peyton Gail, Rutter and Moore are soph skill players that are good enough, fast enough to see the field for Athens.

Just going off the law of averages, it is highly probable that either NY or Athens will win the TVC in any given year.
NY defense is loosing Cooke, Williams, Richards, Maiden from D backfield; Wend & Yinger at LB, both DE's. They are loosing the best QB they have ever had & their recievers. The new QB, whoever that ends up is untested. If they win 8 games, Richards should win Ohio COY. That said......it's possible!

NY is never an underdog. I’m sure it will be another week 10 showdown again

With the new additions to the roster and being prepped by a tough non league schedule Meigs will be hard to handle for the other TVC Ohio teams. Just sayin...

If you look at NY history, you will find many years where NY lost most starters to graduation and the next group stepped up and won the conference again the following year. Winning programs don’t rebuild, they reload.

Athens - should be their year in all the major sports from a talent perspective. We will see if they can put it together.
NY - just a football program. They will be top three.
Meigs - Will beat the teams they should
Wellston - lost a bunch from last year, but still have some talent.
River Valley - depending on who moves in. kids move around in Gallia Co. like it is a city school.
Vinton County - If Yates (the dad) stays they will finish here, if he leave they could drop to last.
Alexander - really hoping it is not another 1-9 year, but ...

Big fish will have to deal with Nelsonville-York....
They won't be winning titles year end and year out.

What is the percentage Athens has won since their inauguration into the TVC? No idea but seems to be > .500 for sure maybe close to .700?

The better question is, what's their record since Rusty took over. He'll dominate them, just like Kevin did.

They don't have another blue Chip QB in the pipeline and the Buckeyes have their mojo back.
Don't get me wrong. They will be tough over the next few years, but they will not dominate the league.

They are 46-10 for an 82% winning record in the TVC. But Davey lost to them 5 years in a row. Rusty won't do that, and will probably beat them 9 out of 10 years so while they did dominate during a brief 4 year stretch that has ended. If Meigs gets those move ins like I've heard Athens will be lucky to finish 3rd next year.

I meant record against NY. Is it close to 82% as well?
