Kind of an odd matchup
Why would gallia even want to play SG
Maybe gallia vs RV makes more sense

I appreciate the honesty. Just looking for a gauge. We’ll see what you think in a few weeks. Sounds like these kids may get overlooked and take offense to that. I hope for a healthy season for you all.
Thanks, hopefully we’re both undefeated when we meet.
That would be a great atmosphere.
Just like the 2016 game, that was something

RV and Gallia Academy play week 2. RV and SG used to play a jamboree but play week 10 this year. I'm guessing this was to get a big gate from the jamboree and I'm sure they will even in the rain.

The gate was ok. No rain for game some actual sun.
A few tempers in first half shortened first half about 5 minutes. Gallia apparently worked on passing game this week. Really only one bad throw tonight

How did SG look?
Curious how that game will go Fri at Symmes.
Every non league Hocking game is big for the conference.

Waverly looks solid to me, good skill position players. But Portsmouth is in for a long season. Varsity score was 27-13 so not too bad, only played the first half. Jv played the whole second half. Portsmouth had about 17 kids dressed for the second half lol they were gutted. Waverly looked like a solid 6-7 win team to me. Portsmouth a 2-3 win team. Of course it was just a jamboree, I’d love to be wrong about Portsmouth.
Waverly is deeper, more athletic and has way more overall team speed than last year. The offense is in my opinion more explosive than last year. With a sophomore QB he’ll make some mistakes but man has he looked good so far. He is going to be a dandy by the time he’s a Senior. Tigers with a lot of underclasman making huge contributions.
Thanks

Heard Sheridan (my alma mater) was up 47-0 on Fairfield Union (coached by one of my best friends) at halftime. That was according to a Facebook post last night, not sure how accurate

They are huge on the lines. But seemed in poor physical condition and could get nothing done on offense. They played with a big chip on there shoulder as the little county school against city school. And honestly they let that get in there way of getting anything productive done.

Thanks!

Heard they had a decent QB last year that was a soph, but may have lost some kids due to redistricting. That's about all I knew.

Score was miss leading. End of the first half it was waverly 27-13. First team didnt play second half. Waverly had 2 big plays for touchdowns, other than those 2 plays didnt move ball well on p-town D.

Waverly also had the ball inside the 2 late in the 2nd quarter but failed to score on 4th down.

Interesting take on it..... 2 plays for 27 points??????
The other two TD were nice drives - one being several running plays by Shoemaker who then capped it off with a nice TD run of around 15 yards.
Waverly contained Parker fairly well, he had a 25 yard scamper for a TD but that was it. Portsmouth's other TD was a 70 yard TD pass due to broken coverage. Waverly DB's miscommunication - no one within 15 yards of the receiver.

Waverly didnt contain Parker. Ran the ball 12 times for avg of 7 yards per carry. Yes half there points did come from 2 big plays. DB fell down on one of them. Yeah broken coverage same player for PHS was open again on same play 2 series later.

Overall Waverly is a very good ball team. Wish them the best of luck the rest of the year.

Does anyone know how the Jamboree game between Wellston and Oak Hill turned out? I saw the halftime score but didn't see the final.
