I'm going with Parker...you break the school record...you're my pick.

Not taking anything away from other players...and the Ironman D (7 total yds given up...still a wow!)

I agree with Mathews he racked up some good yardage against a descent team. I think it should mean something when a kid does good against a good defense rather then someone racks up a bunch of yards against a horrible defense?

Matthews did all that on about 10 touches. Imagine if he wouldve got it 42 times and played 4 quarters against an ovc school.

After reading these posts and what I have believed all along is, my vote would go to Matthews from Wheelersburg one because Waverly was 5-1 and playing for top spot in SOC and Waverly is Div 3 or 4 , the game meant a lot on line for both teams. his all round stats is really impressive. On other hand both Portsmouth and Chesapeake has no defense both no better than 500 and no chance at a league title. Portsmouth has yet to beat a team with winning record, but that a lot of yards for anyone but against a far inferior team and a ton of carries but both great games. Great year so far.

Definitely Matthews the kid is fun to watch and plus he got all that yardage on only about 9 or 10 touches plus difference maker on defense

Breaking A Trojan record there should not even be a question with them having the best backs in the area for years. Talyn Parker not only for rushing but defense

I think the Parker stats from P-Town are the clear winner. I am in such “awe” of the history of the name “Parker” @ Portsmouth!

Starting players for The Burg. Played barely 16 minutes and scored 6 TDs. 28 points in first quarter(almost made it 35) and 14 points in first 3-4 minutes of second quarter. Defense didn’t let Minford breathe.

Freshman from Northwest, 15 carries for 237 yards, 3 td's and 9 tackles. Brayden Campbell, keep an eye on him.
