Portsmouth 35 River Valley 7

Post by RVRaiderFan »

Thoughts on this one?

This will be only the 2nd meeting all-time between these schools.
The first meeting was 1992, which was the first season of River Valley HS Football.
Portsmouth won that match-up.

River valley has lost 49-0 2 weeks in a row. Portsmouth will have a big game from Parker. Get the score up and let the other qbs get some snaps and see how they do. If any kids are banged up I think this is the game to play them little as possible.

The Trojans defense played very well against West, keeping PHS in that game, and hopefully that will continue against RV. If Portsmouth is to have a winning season, the key is how the defense plays. GO TROJANS!!!

Buckeye Blood,
You should definitely come to RV. Despite the small visitor bleachers (which we understand the complaints), we are very proud of our stadium. It just opened in 2012, and while it is small, it is a nice place to watch some HS football and we are proud of it!

River Valley’s field is a joke. I wouldn’t waste your time making the trip.

I like the setting of it. I like where it’s at. Honestly, if the visitor bleachers were just elevated about 5 feet, it would help a ton. The road bleachers are about the same size as Alexander’s. The difference is the first row is right on the ground. I wouldn’t let that stop me from going to a game there though. The home side is nice and I’m sure no one will complain if a few Portsmouth fans sit there.
