Sounds like they have a knowledgeable fan base and they won't overlook West.

Batavia and Cincinnati Shroeder Padia were week 9 the last couple years. Schroeder looked like a JV team. WCC was 6-4 last year and won the State Title. Scheduling should improve with a 5th conference game when Oak Hill moves up next year

Waverly played very inspired last week. They were embarrassed from Wheelersburg and played like it. No idea of the level of competition WCC has played. Some of these teams don't like contact. Maybe they'll commit turnovers or play uninspired. You never know
Oh ok, that explains the scheduling a lot more and yeah I would think with Oak Hill moving up that would fix having to fill in a open date like that. Not sure who all they've played but I know Linsley, who even has a Penn State commit, and they are stacked across the board because they're a boarding school and get players from all over. WCC beating them 31-14 tells me a lot about what WCC is bringing to the table, best of luck though.
I believe Oak Hill will move up to SOC II and be added to the schedules starting next year. I think. Someone could verify that.

Good luck to West.

Yes, Oak Hill will be in the SOC 2 next year.

I believe it all boils down to if West can control the line of scrimmage. If so, they can chew the clock up with their ball control offense and on the defensive side they can create a lot of 3 an outs for their opponent. If Wheeling Central is as fast as everyone says, it could be a long afternoon for the senators.

Silly question but will west gain or lose points with a win or loss? Playing a West Virginia school I’m not sure how it works.

They get 1st level points and no second level.

I got west winning in a slugfest.

WCC in this one. They've already beat WV "A" #2 Williamstown, Linsly, Martins Ferry and Stubenville Central Catholic pretty bad and they've got Shadyside next week. This shouldn't be very close IMO.

From a local perspective Shadyside can give WCC a very good game, but WCC is clearly the favorite .

Unless it's changed in the last year that isn't true for 2nd level points. They do not figure 2nd level points for every opponent individually like on Ohio schools, instead they would take WCC's size if they were in Ohio (Division 7) and times it by their number of wins (7).

Wheeling Central is very tough usually in football and looking at the wins they have already they have a battle tested schedule. Ports. West has too but I think Wheeling Central will be too much for the senators. Is the game being played at Wheeling island? Always a great football atmosphere there.

1990 was close, west beat defending 1989 state champs Ironton and wheelersburg and defeated regional finalist Waverly, who beat CAPE that year as well.

West has not used their twitter account since 2013

Depending on weather or if I can get in the press box I will have a game report and pics.
Won't be posted until late because I have a night game at Tuscarawas Central Catholic.
