Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
Gotta go with Ironton also, Portsmouth will be out coached, but hoping for a Trojan win.
Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
With the rain, Portsmouth May have a better shot. Ironton will pass. They don’t often but they are well schemed. If Portsmouth can dodge a few wide open play action passes that don’t work out because of rain, it may help Trojan chances.

Gone back and forth on this one. Something keeps saying to me that Portsmouth takes this one.

Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
After looking at it I think it comes down to Minford and Portsmouth for the last playoff spot. Portsmouth needs to take care of business and beat Ironton and hope Valley beats Minford but a Minford win over Valley will pretty much be the nail in the coffin for Portsmouth’s playoff hopes.Beergogglebluez wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:48 am Going to be cold and rainy tomorrow night. Not sure who has the advantage both are running teams. Qb advantage is definitely Ironton but if it rains that should take him out. And the tigers give up a few fumblerooskies so that helps Portsmouth. Ironton win they play at home. Portsmouth wins they are possibly in. But have to win to even see if it’s a possibility.

Re: WEEK 10 6-3 #5 IRONTON @ 6-3 #10 PORTSMOUTH.
Burgfan/grad85 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 24, 2018 7:29 pmIMO Minford won't beat Valley so if Portsmouth wins they are in but will probably have to travel to Burg in week. #11. The game that hurt the Trojans is the loss to Coal Grove they should have won that game. I think West will end up the #7 seed CHCA will be the 6th seed so the 8th seed is wide open for whoever wants it. If both Minford and PHS loses Minford could end up in the 8th spot or West. Wow this is exciting Friday night's game between Ironton and PHS should be a great game with so much on the line for the Trojans. Ironton is in win or lose with a loss ironton will not host a first round game. It's supposed to rain Friday so that could determine the outcome of some of these game.lets hope the rain holds off especially since West doesn't have a turf field I think the advantage would go to west on a wet muddy field. But it's gonna be hard to run against Burgs D. So let's all hope for all the games to be injury free and GO BURG!Beergogglebluez wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 11:37 amOh yeah. I never looked at that. Thank you I’ll check it out.
I totally think you posted under the wrong game!
This game. Between the Portsmouth Trojans & Ironton Fighting Tigers will be awesome to listen to. It’s been an honor to listen all year and I would love for the tigers to play a consistent 4 quarters. If they can start achieving that and stay healthy, they are a pretty good team for first year coach and the adjustments he’s implemented! I’m so thankful he is the coach @ IHS!
I hope for an injury free game for both squads!

I don't see Portsmouth as an underdog. I think they are pretty much dead even. and I think the score will reflect that. I see a very close game happening here. and Portsmouth at home is gonna be jacked. so we have to come out hitting on all cylinders from jump street and not let up. have to hang on to the ball, and not commit penalties, especially those that keep drives alive.

I can understand that Ironton is a traditional powerhouse but Portsmouth? That's questionable?YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 8:50 am good luck to the ironton fighting tigers tonight in Portsmouth. and congratulations to both Portsmouth and ironton for doing a complete overhaul in their programs and getting these 2 traditional powerhouses back on track. should be a very exciting game. my prediction 35-28 ironton.

Minford has to lose. First Portsmouth has to win. I don’t think Portsmouth gets in with a win. I really hope I’m wrong but if minford happens to win you are correct that’s the nail in the coffin.bleed_blue wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 6:49 amAfter looking at it I think it comes down to Minford and Portsmouth for the last playoff spot. Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
It’s Game Day gentlemen. Going to be a wet and chilly evening in Portsmouth. Not sure who that favors more. Neither team are huge passing teams, I would say I guess the weather hurts Ironton more than Portsmouth, not really sure it will be a huge factor in either teams game plan though. Obviously I want to see Portsmouth walk away with the W, go 7-3 and sneak into the playoffs. That being said, playoffs or not 7-3 is a huge accomplishment for Portsmouth football. 6-4 not too bad either. This rivalry game is huge tonight. Nothing like playing that team up the river with a possible playoff spot on the line. It’s great to see this rivalry have something at stake again. I hope to see the Trojans come out and play some defense and end this season with a W and a possible date with the Burg next week. I won’t predict the score, but Go Trojans!

Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
I told Coach Kalb yesterday that no matter the outcome on Friday night, it has been a good first year for him and his staff. Not only is he a first year coach, but he has basically a new staff to support him, and the JV and junior high staffs as well are new. All in all, it has been a fun season, with some fun times and some frustrating moments, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the 2018 Trojans.
GO TROJANS!! BEAT IRONTON!!

Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
Going with Ironton in this one simply because their losses are better. Ironton has lost to Ashland, Wheelersburg, and Gallia those teams are a combined 25-3. Portsmouth has lost to PW, CG, Gallia those teams are combined 18-9. No doubt Parker is the best RB in SE Ohio but running behind the Big Tackle (Boheim I think his name is) has had a lot to do with that success. He and Fossen will be fun to watch tonight! Goodluck to both teams!!

You’re correct 1500 of them yards has come of #75 ass, tonight will be a battle between #44 and #75. A little side not for you, I believe coach Pendleton trains the Boehm kid.
Re: WK10: Ironton (6-3) @ Portsmouth (6-3)
Portsmouth vs Ironton week is here , wet cold night could benefit Portsmouth if ... .like most people are posting....that Ironton does have fumble problems , either way I still like my TROJANS in this one ,28 to 21 .
Go TROJANS!!!!

Should be a great game, run vs run in the rain. How many Rushing yards does the Trojans have besides Parker, any one know?
