At the half it's Licking Valley leading Licking Heights by a score of 30-7, so it's looking right now as if LV will be in at the #7 spot, assuming they hold on for the win.

Valley has a Hall of Fame coach and has been a force for decades, state runner-up twice and around 7 regional titles. Gallipolis would rather play Fairland but will have to play a very physical team it looks like at this point. (Similar to Sheridan).

The 6th and 7th seeds may be favorites over 2 and 3 seeds next week. I am not home in front of my spread sheet. But if Vinson county holds on they may push unioto to the 5 seed

Fairland at st. Clairsville
Licking valley at Gallia academy
John Glenn at Indian valley
Unioto at bloom Carroll

Would be my best guessthat isoffmy notesso I might notof added100% correctly. But believe the Saturday games will have zero effect.

Licking Valley has lost to 3 playoff teams with a combined 27-3 record (Sheridan, Granville in D3 and Johnstown D5 which was a 1 point game). I hope Memorial field isn't a mudpit by next week. They could opt to move the game to River Valley you know if all parties agree .

Do they have any wins against a team with a winning record?

I can't imagine why Gallia Academy would give up their home field to play at Bidwell, mud or not.

They beat D2 Licking Heights (6-4) last night to secure a spot in Week 11; otherwise, no.

Yes, I was surprised and wrong about Licking Valley beating Licking Heights. Valley looked bad against Granville.

Coach Baughman is one of the best coaches in Ohio and always gets the most out of his kids. You better be a good bit more talented to beat him in the playoffs.

Shame anyone has to play on non -turf fields in a playoff game. There are PLENTY of fields to host games.

In today's game, yes. Wahama played many home playoff games on Point Pleasants football field over the years in WV.

Seeing Memorial Field last night, and knowing there is a chance of rain several days throughout the week, Saturday is going to be an absolute MUD BOWL. There will not be a lick of grass within 25 miles!!

No, the shame is that there is not enough money to build a new stadium/field at Gallia Academy. Game should never be moved!

Also, if Licking Valley doesn't want to play on grass, (or lack thereof), I'm sure that Gallia Academy would accept the forfeit.

I believe the first round is the lower seeds game to host. It would be GA that would have to make the decision to move the game. The game will be played at Memorial Field would be my guess!

Rumor going around. Gallipolis will try to get their field ready Monday and Tuesday. If they can't get it ready they will play in Jackson
