Coldwater and Marion Local are both located in Mercer County. They will probably never be split up if they are in the same Division. You might see them in Separate State Championship Games, but a Regional Title is the highest level they will most likely ever compete against each other.

This pesky thing called work got in the way. Flying home today from Non-Tropical Houston to beautiful Columbus and I hear the weather is great..... anyway, I’m taking tomorrow off because, well because I can and I’m sure it will lead me to find notes on The Regional Finals.

Can’t help but wonder if Chrissie Hynde will make an appearance at The D6 R22 Finals....

Lets talk about D3 R11 Final.

Eastmoor v Sheridan.

Both teams missed the playoffs last year after qualifying in 2016.

Both teams are currently 1 game under .500 in their playoff history. Eastmoor 9-10 and Sheridan 17-18.

Both teams have advanced to the state finals once. Eastmoor in 2008 in D3 lost to Aurora 21-10 and Sheridan in 1987 in D3 lost to Youngstown Cardinal Mooney 31-10

Sheridan has 2 Regional championships 87 and 96 — (lost to Desales in State Semis 26-7 in 96) to Eastmoor’s 1 in 08

Eastmoor has 1 notable alumnus that I believe has a little more football Star power.... not sure — you might disagree with me... just a 2 time Heisman Trophy Winner.

Archie Griffin.

Archie ran for 1787 yards and 29 TD in his senior season at Eastmoor. In the Columbus City League Championship he ran for 267 yards on 31 carries.

I look forward to basketball season. Due to family coaching at the Varsity level this season I will more than likely move towards a total statistic and update role for basketball — much like I do in Football.

This will be the first time since Ohio went to 7 divisions in football (2013) that the MAC has not placed a team in the State Finals in Division 7.

The MAC has 2 schools left — both in D6 R24. Coldwater and Marion Local.

Anna is in the MAC in football only. New Knoxville has soccer and not football and is in the MAC in every sport but football.
