Consider they didn’t even a direction of a head coach and did not hire till late correct ? With a new staff and system to put in a place in just a mere months before kickoff of the opening game ? Wow. Yes, the fighting tigers should very proud of the season they have put together considering the timeline they had to prepare in doing so. Hats off to you guys. Keep building. I said quite a few times while at that was going on to be careful about kicking the tigers while down cause they wouldn’t be there forever. And here they are in the playoffs.

Ironton is young but was surprised to see them sucking air bad in second half last week. Good luck to the Tigers I believe they can play with them.

Re: Region 19 #8 Ironton @ #1 Johnstown-Monroe
I’m just curious on how many Ironton fans will travel for this game... I think this game is very ironic, 10yrs ago we were 8 and Ironton was always the 1 seed, last five tables turned, funny how the programs went in different directions. The funny thing was I was told that our program was a one hit wonder on this same forum, yet 10yrs later here we are!!!

I would assume there will be a full house. Especially with the first year head coach turning things around. This program will be a staple in this region for years to come. They are young but don’t let that fool you. This Ironton team is a tough out. They have played beyond their potential this year. Don’t sleep on them. They could give JM all they want.JHS Pride wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:00 am I’m just curious on how many Ironton fans will travel for this game... I don't feel that way at all jhs, I've seen that team the last decade or so get better and better. they play good sound fundamental football and don't shoot themselves in the foot. they are for real and any tiger fan that knows them knows that. we need a checkup from the neckup after blowing 2 huge leads against 2 long time rivals Gallia academy, and Portsmouth. we had huge leads in both. we are a very young team, under a very young coach. and are making young mistakes. but they'll be ready, and are learning every play, every series. my head says tigers. but I have seen Johnstown play several times, and they are very efficient and well disciplined. this one has the potential to be a dandy. and of course we'd love nothing more than to see our young fighting tigers pull off the upset. no way around us being the under dog here, cause we are. but strange things happen in this game of football.

Re: Region 19 #8 Ironton @ #1 Johnstown-Monroe
I was not doubt the current Ironton team at all, they actually make me nervous because they are the underdog in this game and have a chip on their shoulders, very capable of pulling off the upset, I was just saying how in the past we wanted to build a program like Ironton, and others 15-10yrs ago, we looked up to programs like Ironton and now we our a program that others look at. We sucked, believe me I know first hand, but now we built a great programYOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:22 am I don't feel that way at all jhs, I've seen that team the last decade or so get better and better. they play good sound fundamental football and don't shoot themselves in the foot. they are for real and any tiger fan that knows them knows that. we need a checkup from the neckup after blowing 2 huge leads against 2 long time rivals Gallia academy, and Portsmouth. we had huge leads in both. we are a very young team, under a very young coach. and are making young mistakes. but they'll be ready, and are learning every play, every series. my head says tigers. but I have seen Johnstown play several times, and they are very efficient and well disciplined. this one has the potential to be a dandy. and of course we'd love nothing more than to see our young fighting tigers pull off the upset. no way around us being the under dog here, cause we are. but strange things happen in this game of football.

Not sure about our injuries but if we are healthy maybe we have a chance, Johnstown will be very very good and this will be a tall task, not impossible but what a mountain to go up. If we have pentilies and fumbles we will have no chance at all. Well our tigers did make the playoffs and anything is possible, our young tigers will get some playoff experience. Good luck tigers this weekend.

Did Ironton loose 2 if there best defense players last week ?
Yeah hopefully Johnstown isn’t looking past Ironton

Both teams are heavy run and don't do too well with the pass, Ironton's sophomore running back, Carrico will be a driving force for the tigers in the coming years but I believe he might still be too young to carry this team into the second round. Ironton has made a massive improvement since last year and they will continue to grow as a program, that being said I say they lose this one by a close 7. However, the Johnnies might let it slip.

Im not going to lie Johnstown has did pretty decent defending the pass this seasonpiratefan3 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 1:05 pm Both teams are heavy run and don't do too well with the pass, Ironton's sophomore running back, Carrico will be a driving force for the tigers in the coming years but I believe he might still be too young to carry this team into the second round.
