Great to Gallipolis in the playoffs again. Tough matchup for Gallipolis. Licking Valley wins 36-24.

Gallia will likely win. Won't be shocked if Licking Valley pulls the upset.

I'll take Gallia in this one, but it's gonna be a tough one.

Should be a very close ballgame. I'm going to pick the Blue Devils to edge LV.

Should be a great game between 2 evenly matched teams. I'm taking Gallia 17-14

Game is at Memorial Field. Seeing as there is not a lick of grass within 20 miles of that field, advantage Gallipolis.

I've heard rumors about moving it to Jackson (turf), but I cant see them taking away Gallipolis home field that they earned, no matter the condition of their field.

Probably the worst draw for Gallipolis.

Not sure if I'd pick John Glenn or Licking Valley as the best "road" team in week one.

But the Blue Devils are battle tested. Licking Valley has the tradition and an excellent head coach. Will be a heck of a contest.

Are they seriously going to allow them to play this game at that disgrace of a football field. Why not move that game to Pt Pleasant or Jackson?

Bad draw for GA. Not an upset. Valley just way better

Just has been announced that this game will be played in Jackson. The field conditions plus the forecast for the end of the week has caused this move.

Don't agree with OHSAA on this one. GAHS earned a home game and it should be played there. I bet the OHSAA never intended to let the Blue Devils play at home. They just needed to negotiate a place to play. I hope the Blue Devils rocks it and sticks it OHSAA for this move. Just more incentive to win. However, Gallipolis needs to address the field issue or this is going to happen to them every year they earn a 1-4 spot until something is done.

The LCL is a tough league (Granville, Licking Valley, Johnstown, Newark Catholic, Licking Heights, Heath) As a former Licking Countian, I'm very familiar with the LCL (Licking County League) & have had to hear over & over how much better they are than us (Gallia Academy). Never thought we'd be playing Valley but here we are. I'm certain this will be a very physical game. Just read it's being played in Jackson. Don't make me eat crow. Bring home the win Blue Devils. You can win this game! I'm going with Gallia Academy for the WIN!

Not agreeing or disagreeing with the decision. I wonder if OHSAA did come down and inspect the field before making this decision? If the move had to be made, they couldn't be playing in a nicer stadiam.
