Who are the assistant coaches at meigs? Could any of them do a better a job at head coach?

Bartrum has coached 7 years. His record is 33-37. 0 Playoff appearances and 0 league titles. looked up meigs records from Joeeitel.
Due to what I see is a delclining TVC Ohio and up and coming youngsters, I think Meigs will win the league and I make the playoffs within the next two seasons.
Are you the same Meigs poster who predicted an undefeated season this year? Lol

Looks like he is staying and making the schedule easier. Dropped St. Clairsville for next year.

You know. Sometimes people “pretend” to be leaving just so they can have people tell them how wonderful they are and beg them to stay. Food for thought.

St Clairsville is still on the schedule next year. Point Pleasant was dropped and Rock Hill added in their place.

Honestly, that's a great move. Their schedule is brutal. They really should've been 5-1 in the league this year, so at least dropping one of those brutal non-leagues can get them closer to where they need to be to make any kind of playoff push. Rock Hill is a good game to pick up too.

That would be a great move. The non conference schedule ought to be Gallipolis, point pleasant, oak hill, and ripley

Those would be great gates and good games

Why do we put kids on a bus to st clownsville when we have good opponents close by

Or if we have to travel let’s get on the bus into West Virginia and take advantage of playoff points generated by lesser programs

Roane County
Ravenswood
Point
And keep Gallia

If you think Point is a lesser program you’ve lost your mind

I watched quite a few of the games over the decades and Point owns a 16-5-1 record all-time in this series. I agree with last post by TVC.

I may be mistaken, but didn't Meigs and Pt. Pleasant play this year or last ? I also agree, Point has in no way the last few years been a lesser program than Meigs.

St Clairsville has week 2 opening for 2019 season per OHSAA website. That would have been Meigs.

Meigs has added Rock Hill and Warren for next season as listed on Arbiter. They also still have St C listed the same week as Rock Hill. Assuming this means St C is dropped.

Wonder why Bartrum would want to make such a change to schedule compared to seasons past? Does he not believe the Class of 2022 can handle the competition? Has the new Athletic Director decided to try to get playoff points?

I may be wrong but at this stage, if adding points for the playoffs is the main reason for scheduling those 2 schools, both of those schools are having a lot of problems themselves in winning. It also may prove to be the right thing to do, you just never know from year to year. I do see a lot of success for Meigs in the next few years.

You have to play games you can win to get into the playoffs. Going 7-3 with the schedule next year will give them a great shot.

So the non conference for meigs will be,

Gallia
Rock Hill
Warren
Logan

That’s pretty respectable for a TVC Ohio school. Gallia is back to being Gallia, so that will be a good test. Rock Hill isn’t dominate but they were competitive most of this season. Warren is your “cupcake” game and the much bigger Logan Chieftans have been a battle the last few years for Meigs. The 2018 non conference schedule for meigs was brutal with St. C and Point Pleasant. Next years schedule sets them up for a better chance at week 11.

Agree 100%. The ambition is noble, but it dr oes no.hood if the schedule is too tough to win enough games.

Completely agree. Just for example, VC finished 10th in the same region as meigs at 4-6. Had meigs had THIS non conference, I think they could’ve finished 6-4. That probably would have been good enough for week 11 this year.

I would say pure arrogance led Meigs to schedule a tough schedule. I would say it took awhile to realize that having success at one level as a player did not make one a genius coach at another level. It his very naive to think the AD had any input on the change in schedule.
