Fast fast fast game, neither team passes. JM has rushed for over 3,500 yards in their ten game schedule. Bellaire tailback Cole Porter has 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season. His pick 6 won the game against Ferry.
J-M in a tight one.

"ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE"
Good luck Bigreds
Still hard to believe that Bellaire lost 34-0 in week 10 to Martins-Ferry, then was able to turn around and beat MF the next week. Bellaire probably playing with a lot of confidence right now. Johnstown-Monroe in a real battle with Ironton, should be a good ballgame.
I think Johnstown will play better this week thanks to the humble pie served by Ironton! Only one first down in second half I'm betting gave the Johnnies a lot to work on going into this game! I'm confident Coach Carter will have them motivated for this week! Go Johnnie's!
Did Ironton just play that good on defense against Johnstown-Monroe ? I know it was a good close ballgame. Did the field conditions come into play for either team ?
The field was turf. Ironton just played well on D. Johnstown looked out if sync. Johnstown had first TD called back after a holding call on the 4. Kicked a FG, missed an extra point, did not get a 2 point conversion. Dropped a wide open TD pass and in general did not execute in 2nd half. Ironton scored on a broken tackle and fumbled on the 1 late in game.
Thank You! Johnstown-Monroe will probably have to play a lot better this week. Not taking anything away from Ironton, when they played mistake free, they were a tough out for most of the teams on there schedule. Bellaire playing with a lot of confidence right now. Hope both have an injury free game.55buckeyes98 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:43 amThe field was turf. Ironton just played well on D. Johnstown looked out if sync. BESIDES, BURG, IRONTON HAS BEEN VERY GOOD ON D and has been able to hinder several premiere offensive backs they’ve faced, better than any other teams’ defense.
I ronton just has good D And no finishing out drives or consistent offensive play.
Ironton had Portsmouth beat in last game of the season and then Parker ran wild against ironton after ironton led 21-0 @ HT.
Parker is probably one of the best running backs in SE OHIO, a jR & getting small mid major looks(mac schools).
No offense to JM fans, but the Ironton webcast announcers said, the JM backfield was very threatening looking, your main rusher was very good, probably the 3rd best overall back IHS had seen all year on IHS SCHEDULE!
Madison completely Parker, the Portsmouth hack, stopped him, but Portsmouth and ironton are definitely rebuilding and either were not ready for regional final play.
Good luck Bellaire and JM.
