Re: WK 6: Fort Frye (4-1) @ Frontier (1-4)
The boys in red, white, and blue have been playing some great defense the last 10 quarters.

First team D hasn't been scored since that Bellville wheel route in the 2nd QT week 3. I look for it to continue this week.

Fort (big).
Has been a while since I've seen Frontier in person. They had a pretty young team, have they just not developed? What's the issue down there?

Think they have a problem getting players to stick with it. Toby Minder Frontiers best player from last season decided not to play.
Re: WK 6: Fort Frye (4-1) @ Frontier (1-4)
This is where the reps the young players are getting are starting to pay off. I don't know if they can catch up to Shenandoah, but they're improving week to week.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 10:47 amFirst team D hasn't been scored since that Bellville wheel route in the 2nd QT week 3. The best thing this staff has always done is to sustain a multi-pronged running attack. If you have a weakness up front, they will find it, then punish you when you adjust to cover it.X8XOHIOLEGENDX7X wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 2:10 pmDem boys can runEasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 10:44 am Tyler Fisher 51 513 10.05 102.6

I don't even think the Cadets are using the whole playbook yet. It will only get better.

Seems like a week to forget* about the score and focus on the enjoyment of playing football.

Yes. At this point, FF should be comfortable with their assignments. Go execute and enjoy the game.

Still bad taste in my mouth from the Northridge game wish we could play it over. I think Fort Frye would win by 2 Tds.

As the playoff picture begins to take shape for the Fort Frye Cadets and the Frontier Cougars, they come up on an important matchup against one another in week 6. The Cadets are confident that how they finish the season will be enough to bring them to the playoffs - they come into the game with a 73.67% chance of making it, which increases to 73.67% with a win. For the Cougars, chances aren't looking quite as good. In this game, they're looking to increase their playoff chances from 3.11% to 9.79%. The Cadets will come in as the favorites, projected to win the game 39 - 6. The Cadets will invade the home field of the Cougars looking to come away with a decisive victory. For Frontier, against a formidable opponent, this means they'll need to elevate their play substantially. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Cadets have been superior, coming out on top in 5 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In 2016's matchup, the Cadets came away with a 53 - 0 victory.
Looking to build upon their 3-game winning streak, Fort Frye comes into the week at 4-1. After their 37 - 0 win against the Monroe Central Seminoles, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. Their defense has been one of the best in Division 6, ranking 9th with 10.4 points allowed per game. On offense, they rank 38th, scoring an average of 30.4 points per game.
Frontier will come into the week looking to put an end to their current 2-game losing streak after a 49 - 7 loss against the Waterford Wildcats brought their record down to 1-4. The Cougars aren't particularly dominant on either side of the ball. On offense, they rank 101st in Division 7 with 9 points per game. Their defense, which gives up 40.6 points per game, ranks 93rd in their division.
