Itown returns 18 starters led by Carrico, Salyers and Fosson. Also hearing there will be some new faces on the field this year.

I am assuming you mean 18 total for offense and defense?

How many of those will start both ways?

For Burg Matthews and Horsley will be the offense. Burg returns all lineman except for center.

Defensively they will be less experienced but very fast.

I’m not sure. Just heard there’s already a few that’s moved in. Can’t wait to watch the Tigers play this year.

Two from Raceland, one is coming back too Ironton after a few years over there,
who was starter both sides of the ball. The other one was a two year starter on the O-Line.

Fort Frye Returns

9 on Defense
6 on Offense

Star Rb Tyler Fisher
Star WR 6-3 Brady Schilling
Good RBs - Adkins and Greenleaf
Star OL/DL Isiah Jones

Fort could be better

Waverly’s primary WR, junior to be Phoenix Wolfe broke his ankle Tuesday (nastiest break I’ve ever seen). He may or may not be ready to go - prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.

Asked around and was told both boys have ties to Ironton and both left because of a problem with the head coach , not one negative word said about either of the two , I was told their loss Irontons gain I guess we will see .

Athens had a pretty big senior class. Lose a lot but we have a lot coming back. Really comes down to how Moore is at QB. He’s a freak athlete.

Side note, be funny hearing Gail run all over Nelsonville York. His dad was a good one there

Phoenix Wolfe (Waverly WR, DB) goes for surgery tomorrow morning. Prayers are very much appreciated...

Absolutely. This is a serious injury. When nerves and blood vessels are torn, it’s now more than a sports injury.
