I saw in the Athens Mess where former coach Jerry Springer wants us to come together and light a fire under LancerNation for the football program. Does anyone have info on when this event will take place? It’s about time we rise up and get back to playing like did back in the day. Does anyone recollect what our records were during Coach Jerry’s years?

I miss the days when lancer football was relevant. Maybe they can get it rolling with coach springer in charge again

Here's what the old guy said in the paper:

"My wish ... is that someone in the community would call a mass meeting of parents and athletes ... and begin the path to football program success. I would love to attend the meeting and speak to those present.

I am 76 years old and I had a lot of wins at Federal Hocking."


Is he campaigning? Or just bored? Time will tell.

Maybe he is planning to run for county commission. I would vote for him. He is a proven winner. The boys of fall ran through walls for him. Besides having a coach as a county commissioner worked in Meigs county so it would definitely work for us

They need to get some of them Coolville and Torch boys out. Them boys is always tough.
