I’m glad Coal Groves first game was against River Valley. Gave them time for the newer varsity players to adjust. They looked good when spreading it out. I think this will be a hard fought, tough game from both teams. Personally I think Valley should’ve beat Portsmouth. Just shot theirselves in the foot too many times and allowed Portsmouth to keep drives going.

Should be a great game Friday night. Excited to see how the Grove comes out and performs week 2!

If valley gets the penalties under control they will be very hard to beat. That defense is legit and I don’t think anyone will be able to run on them. It will come down again to turnovers and field position.

This is a game that Valley flat out gave away last year. Up 20-0 and let it get away from them.

If the defense plays as well as it did last week and the penalties and special team blunders are fixed, the Indians get win #1.

Valley gave one away to Portsmouth in week 1 and I look for them to right the ship here in week 2. Valley's QB was a bit gimpy after the game so hope all is well with him and he's back to full strength. Going with Valley in this one by 3 scores.

This thread used to get to 5-6 pages pregame in it's glory days.

Should be a good matchup with two teams that are strong up front.

Everyone that was banged up healthy for Valley going into this one? Hoping for an Indian W. Clean up some things from the Portsmouth game and should be in a position to win this one.

Valley corrects their miscues from last week and brings home the victory.

The SEOP community doesn’t have much faith in the Hornets. I thought overall CG looked good last week. Other than a few drops the passing game looked real nice, Stapleton is running the ball just as hard as he always has. The only River Valley score was gave up on special teams. I think the Hornets could surprise a lot of people Friday night.

Ain’t that the truth. Use to be a lot more posters from Coal Grove/Valley as well.

Valley in this one. (No comparison between last weeks opponents, Portsmouth would destroy RV and Parker would probably have 300 yd and 7 td's against them).
