Western Brown 21 - 56 Jackson

Post by Poo Bear »

To say Jackson will be fired up for this game is an understatement. Apple Festival week so a lot of distractions. If Jackson prepares hard and plays within themselves I see them moving to 4-0.

I think we learned some things vs Logan. Parks was moved out some for some quick easy throws that Ice nails every time. What I never considered though was it put Parks out there with the ball and a cornerback was forced to make the tackle. Never really happened. Parks is tough to bring down and gets a head of steam and that just sucks for the cornerbacks as they are often not the strongest on the tackles.

We have Spires/Graham/Johnson who can all carry the load and be 100 yard backs and all not the easiest to take down either. I’d like to see 5’4 Joey Richison get a few carries. What can he do? Kid is tough as can be, has that “by God I’ll show you chip on his shoulder”....I’d love to see him get 3-5 carries this week. Kid might be a huge spark plug....he’s proved his toughness on defense, no way is that energizer bunny an easy tackle. Love that kid, would make his day. I know it’s a team game but that kid has overcame everything. He wouldn’t let his team down.

Him slinging that 6’1 220 lb Logan kid was pretty funny. So glad #26 is back and playing his senior year.

This should be a ho hum game for Jackson with time to maybe work on the passing game they'll need at playoff time.

Not one Jackson kid, coach or fan thinks this will be easy. Lesson learned last year.

Who does Western Brown return from last year's team? I'm not very familiar with them.

They have plenty of athletes at their school to field a formidable team but Michael Vick graduated last year so they shouldn’t be quite the fit giver as last year.

LOL, I'm sure every coach and defender is glad to see that young man graduated one of the better quarterbacks around. Western Brown seems to give Jackson some trouble in the early parts of games that I've seen and then Jackson sort of settles down as they're not used to that spread it out and throw it offense. Think Jackson will learn a lot from last year, again always tough with apple festival week for game preparation but I like Jackson in this one by 3-4 scores. Western Browns opponents a combined 8-1 to start the season.

I’m hearing some shakeups are happening on the offensive side of the ball. Might be a good week to look at some possible changes before Wheelersburg.

The Oline is definitely being held accountable. Heard some changes. The time is right if staff sees potential improvements at any position. I do like the competition at positions. Keeps everyone sharp, if not...next man up.

I look for things to go very well Friday
