To Wheelersburg & Ironton

Post by ArntonFartinTiger »

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

La, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I seen ya around for a long long time
I really remember you when you drank my wine

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd seen ya walking down in Chinatown
I called ya but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I pay my money to the welfare line
I see ya standing in it every time

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

The color of your skin don't matter to me
As long as we can live in harmony

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I'd kinda' like to be the president
So I could show you how your money's spent

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Sometimes I don't speak right
But yet I know what I'm talking about

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

I know you're working for the CIA
They wouldn't have you in the mafia

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends
Why can't we be friends

It’s mainly young Ironton fans who have no recollection of ever beating Wheelersburg and the newly “move in” burg fans who still have the tags on all their fresh pirate gear .

The old school Pirate and Tiger fans have mass respect for each other’s programs.

most Ironton fans respect what Wheelersburg has done with their sports program the past 10 years. As for Ironton fans who can’t remember beating Wheelersburg, I don’t know too many seven years olds who stand around talking about this game. I think it’s most likely the 85% of the Pirate fans who left at halftime that don’t have the respect for the game

3-0 at half and 10-6 in the third. I mean give Ironton it’s 15 minutes of fame. It’s been a long time

I believe this is the first win for this year's ironton senior boys over burg in anything since they entered high school.

Man, I hope there is a rematch in this one.

How about week 13! Regional Championship.

Jackson's alumni stadium.

You don’t remember Ironton move in players all thru the 80’ 90’s? Burg players move in to stay not just for football. This year reminded me of those days!! How many just came in for football this year? 8

Hoping for a rematch. I wasn't able to make the first one I was out of town but would love to watch it next time. I think Jackson would be the perfect spot.

Better have extra deputies on duty if this game takes place although it couldn't be half as bad as some city league games i've seen in C-bus over the years.
