I’m bored...think about this?

QB Winters
RB Spires

TE Davis
WR Prater
WR McManaway

Line? Strawser...Coach and Wooten figure out the others

Wolford/Painter....get some carries

Spires...gets 25 receptions as well

8-2, 6 seed....Winters 25 TD, 1800 yards passing, 500 yards rushing. Spires 1000 rushing 15 TD, Prater 40 receptions 700 yards 8 TD, Davis 40 receptions 600 yards

But....wait for it

QB Spires
RB Winters

8-2, 6 seed

Spires 1500 yards passing 15 TD, 400 yards rushing, Winters 1200 yards rushing, Prater 600 receiving, Davis 500 receiving

It can be done 2 different ways IMO. Will it be based on who the heck is on the line? Will a Ty Ruckel type kid step up and go from skill position to the line? I think this current team has a number of kids who could really help out the line...but maybe not everyone willing.

This team has a lot of skill players but man the line must be good. It could be very good. I hear kids are working hard. Coach Hall has done well at getting kids to buy in...that senior class getting ready to graduate was pretty special.

What’s best for team?...that’s all that really matters. I said 8-2 as an example but the chance is there to be very special.

Can’t wait!

Ironmen going to be good in 2020. And maybe better beyond that. Lots of good young horses in that stable.

Just read in the Telegram that Treylan Davis has verbally commited to West Virginia University. I guess he had decommited from University of Cincinnati this past April. It said that he had 23 offers from other schools including Tennessee, Arkansas, Perdue, Indiana, Washington and Boise State to name a few.

Jackson shouldn't lose a regular season game, hopefully they can get a little deeper in the playoffs.

@Licking Valley a pretty legit game

Team lost a ton of seniors that were integral parts of that team. There are definitely some big players and breakout players returning....but a mess of kids will need to step up. Will be a different type team.

Yes , you are correct. The Ironmen will be just fine. I should have put a little
More in detail when saying “need lineman”. I should have said who is going to step up like Ty Ruckel did a year ago and lead em !

Aside from Licking Valley, Jackson’s schedule is cake (as always). Should be able to go 9-1 with their eyes closed, likely 10-0.

Who would you schedule if gave an ounce of crap about Jackson? Up to just 2 years ago OH was in a league with ND, East, Green, Symmes Valley, Purple etc

When did I mention OH? That division was cake too I never said it wasn’t. It’d just be nice to see Jackson play teams in their division is all. Oak Hill is like 5 kids away from being a division 6 school and play teams in divisions 4 and 5. Jackson is division 3 and smashes division 5 teams and don’t let you hear the end of it. No disrespect to them, I just said they’d likely go 10-0.

Two years ago OH ended the regular season with a -9 on schedule if you take their division and figure against all teams played. Jackson last year and before was -5. Last year OH switched divisions and now -1....Jackson replaces Wellston with Licking Valley. Yes we play Burg a D5 but would they not beat most D3 teams? Our league is what it is....not strong, regardless of division.

Hope they get to play. I’ll take 9-1 but lost a ton of big time seniors.

Logan - Division II
Athens - Division III
Western Brown - Division III
Licking Valley - Division IV (but last year's state runner-up, traditional powerhouse)
Wheelersburg - Division V (state champs in 2017, traditional powerhouse)

People may have been able to criticize Jackson's schedule in the past, but come on. They're literally playing the two other big schools in SE Ohio, two smaller programs that compete at the state level and would beat most D3 teams anyway, and another D3 school.

In recent years, Jackson has played Cincinnati Winton Woods, Cabell-Midland (WV), and Granville in non-conference games. All schools bigger than or equal to them in size, and also schools that make the playoffs and compete for championships nearly every year. They've also played some programs that are smaller but are usually playoff teams with strong history like Ironton or West Jeff.

"No disrespect to them, I said they would go 10-0". The ENTIRE post was about disrespecting them. This stuff about Jackson never playing anyone is such a tired act. I don't think anyone in Jackson is claiming to be a powerhouse at the state level, but the Ironmen have 14 playoff appearances and have even had a little success in the post-season on a few occasions.
