Burg vs Ironton 2021

Post by wobycat »

Let’s try to keep it fun and not tear into each other too much.

Predictions?

I’ll go burg by 1. :D

Started a new thread on this one.

No Carrico, carpenter out with a pretty good injury, carter kid gone. Lattimore I read ran all over the place in the scrimmage. Going to be a close one. Burg by 3

E. Lattimore’s 2nd TD was spectacular...all 3 were impressive but that 2nd was ridiculous. D’s TD was a really good run as well.

Not a clue what’s going on at Ironton, so I also have no clue how to chime in here.

I like that they’ve had to scramble to realign the injured and mysteriously departed, & the tigers have the skilled players & experience to do well.
I’m hoping that brings a hunger out that can keep them competitive with one of the boldest schedules I’ve seen in SEO.

I am excited for the game, but due to health issues of family members & still working FT, I won’t be able to listen or watch live this year.
It’ll be my first year since 1996, not being in real time in some format.

I’ll catch up early on Saturdays what went down…

Good luck to both squads.

I don’t care who it was. What he says is true. They were above level runs.

No one is bragging about the win. But D7 or D1 his runs were really really good. Taking it away based on opponent is absolutely diminishing how good they were.

How do you figure that?A good teams defense wouldn’t miss as many tackles but I’m sure he’s a good player. :)

Everyone knows I’m a huge Fighting Tigers fan, but saying Raceland would be an average D7 Team is crazy, unless they’ve went to crap this year. They’ve been pretty good for awhile now.

The good 1a’s in Ky couldn’t compete with the good D7’s in Ohio.Maybe Beechwood if they are still in that class.

I give you Raceland isn’t ironton. They are smaller but trust me when I say that his runs were fantastic. He would have made a lot of people miss on those runs. He may not be the next great thing, time will tell but He had a great night.

Did Carter suit up for Raceland against his former teammates?

Maybe you have trouble reading or trouble comprehending what you have read but no where was the outcome of the scrimmage mentioned let alone bragging about beating anyone.

Agreed.
RaceLand has a ton of history & well prepared boys ready to compete every year for MANY YEARS!

For, @artisgilmore To continue on a verbose rampage about the result of an offensive run by any high school player in a diminishing & Demeaning manner speaks loudly for @artisgilmore, more than it does about the run, runner, or teams fielded.

It’s a scrimmage for both squads to prepare & see what works and doesn’t work.

I hardly doubt either team added a dust collecting trophy or plaque because of their performances.

It was a SCRIMMAGE!
