August 27, 2021 Ironton 13 - 10 Jackson (Game of the Year)

Post by Ironman92 »

Let’s get it going!

The ultimate measuring stick for Jackson.

Jackson must avoid the gimme scores like they allowed Logan and when doing all they have to stop the run….also not get toasted deep.

It’s going to be a tall task. We have the necessary skill but they will have to be big. The line will have to hold their own on both sides.

Jackson hasn’t won many games as the underdog….I could jump on board if they wanted to start that trend though.

Good Luck boys!

Battle up front will tell the tale.

Always tough to go into the Tank and beat the Tigers.

I don’t know anything about Jackson but the lines on both sides better be ready because irontons lines are for real

Won’t be a lot of trash talk by either fan base. A lot of mutual respect and not as much animosity. For Jackson to have any chance of competing they must really hold their ground on the offensive and defensive lines. Ironton is a machine right now. But for our area a marquee matchup so I expect a packed house and fun atmosphere. Hope the game is a good one and injury free.

This is going to be a great game, the trenches will be fun to watch in this one, going to be a slobber knocker. The Fighting Tigers need to clean up some penalties and don’t allow any long pass plays. The LB’s need to be ready for the Ironmen. I was really surprised with Irontons backup QB play this week, don’t know if Carpenter will be ready to go or not.

Go Fighting Tigers…….

Wait until you see Jackson's back-up QB! Errrrr maybe he's a fullback? I think a RB... Sheesh IDK. Jackson has some athletes, and the ability to go down field. I'm excited for this one!

This should be a heck of a game, both teams want to win at the LOS and both bring in very strong defenses. This will be a very telling game for both teams, as Logan wasn't much of a contest for Jackson and sounds as if Burg had to many turnovers that let the game get out of hand. Could be a very low scoring game being this early in the season I believe Ironton has the advantage up front and I'll go Ironton by a score 21-14.

28-14 ironton less scoring this week because I don’t believe jackson will turn the ball over as much as Burg did but I still believe the tigers get the win especially if they have a clear picture on who’s starting at Qb all week at practice

I think I am feeling this also, have not seen Jackson in person obviously but Ironton is so physical at the mesh point. Sort of anticipate a similar score to the Ironton-Burg game I think.

I mean it’s just a scrimmage so I mean you can’t put too much into it but Ashland and jackson played pretty evenly and Ashland just lost to Raceland last night and never lead at any point in the game
