Just watched the Garaway-Bellaire game, man did Bellaire look gassed at the end.

Both goose eggs stay intact... FF will be hard to beat this year.

Garaway did not look as good as advertised but they did lose the teams best player. Heatherington for Bellaire is a stud but he holds the ball forever. Bellaire also doesn’t have much of a run offense. They do have a hell of a defense.

They both were. Almost 90 today and at Bellaire you can usually tick that up atleast 10 degrees on that field for whatever reason. First game of the year at Bellaire is miserable typically no matter the year.

River played them on a Sunday a few years back and field temp got as high as 113.

Going to have to find some more weapons and run the ball. If they think they can just call pass plays and let Qb improvise they’ll be in for a long night. Cadets DL is really good and really agressive. I think Braxton Brown Vs Ray Ray Pettigrew will be fun to watch. Rhoden really shut him down today. Hopefully Fort Frye isn’t cramping up all game.

From Bellaire , I’ve been on the site several times over the years , it’s been awhile and I have long forgotten my old Username.

Bellaire is a better than average team and was not favored to beat Garaway or is a favorite to beat F F . Young line and that really showed today . Their Offensive skill people are good , the RB has over a thousands career yards , is fast and quick , unfortunately the holes were not there today and again that showed in the final score. QB is a four starter as is Ray Ray Pettigrew #22 . Garaway did not even attempt to throw is his direction as he had three pick 6’s last season . My disappointment in Bellaire today was the inability to move the ball more consistently.

Bellaire will undoubtedly work on those short comings and hopefully improve this week. Yes FF is favored and most likely will win , but a mistake here and there and a little more Bellaire ball control could change the outcome.

If one play and one play only cost Bellaire it was on a successful two point conversion that would have put Bellaire up 16-7 in the 4th , penalty nullified the conversion and the outcome was changed.

With Bellaire moving to D6 and 23 being down this could be a regional final preview.

Fort Frye has 9 Srs on D and 9 Srs on O. Hopefully they can find ways to get them a breather it’s going to be hot. Clayton Miller did really well at Qb in his first start. The Cadets OL was solid but dang 68 from John Glenn was a monster.

Easy win for FF. Not sure they will even get challenged until possibly week 10.

Would not call it an easy win. Bellaire should of beat #4 Garaway sat. Garaway returns 18 starters from elite 8 team.
