Chillicothe 27 London 24 2022

Post by Ohio1234 »

London coming off of a week 1 loss and Chillicothe coming off of a big week 1 win against Teays Valley.

London will watch the film and try to do what they do smash mouth football and pound the rock.

Keys for Chillicothe: Chillicothe gave up 480 yards of offense almost 300 of that on the ground. Teays Pounded the ball in the second half but Chillicothe was able To force 5 turnovers 2 ints and 3 fumbles to secure the win.
On offense Chillicothe threw the ball well doughty went 12-20 148 yards two tds EBlin when 5-6 48 yards and 1 TD. Chillicothe will need to get better up front in the run game aside from Lees 63 yard TD run there wasn’t much in the running game. Chillicothe ended the game with 290 yards 1 turnover 7 penalties for 90 yards Teays 480 yards 5 turnovers and 15+ penalties for over 150 yards. I was impressed by how clean and disciplined chilli played for an opening night great sign under the new regime.

London played a tuff game vs one of the top wbl schools. Chillicothe can’t afford to turn it over, and you have to force them to pass. If cavs can get some big play scores early to get London in a pass first mode they have a chance. If cavs can’t stop the run it will be a long slow death.

From what I've heard this is two different styles. London wants to ground and pound, Chilly wants their athletes in space. Chilly needs to stop the run if they want a chance.

This is probably an evenly matched game this week since London has graduated 3 really good groups . This year is gonna be tough for them. They will look to bounce back after getting smacked by football power St. Mary last week.

For Chillicothe this is another big game and can give them even more momentum with the new coach. They seem to be playing well right now. This win would definitely keep momentum going and thats a win that changes a program . Why you might ask ? You have a team in London who has done well in the playoffs recently and you just knocked them off. The kids if they were not all in would definitely be all in after a win like this as well as the community .
