Hall will score and Grove will move the ball some. They can’t stop anybody so I’ll go Ironton 55 Coal Grove 13

The CG running back will get his 100 yards and maybe a score late.

They might leave him in against Irontons backups just to pad his numbers. No way he goes over 100 on the starters

Hall will get some yards because he’ll probably carry it 30+ times, but that defense is way too slow to keep this game close. I could even see him pop a couple of decent runs just because Ironton will be stacking up front. Ironton will have a few drives 5 plays and under. CG can’t defend the edge.

If the rumors are true and Pendleton doesn’t pull his starters, 90-6 Ironton

Not sure if we can stop him but we do need to contain him, don’t want to see him get in a groove, Tigers just take care of business as you have done all year. Tigers Roll!

My question is, can Coal Grove pass the ball? If they can’t pass the ball to mix it up they’ll be in big trouble.

No one in the OVC can hang with Ironton.

It's like sneaking the answers on a note pad for your kids to pass their finals the way things are run down there.

GA, Fairland, and Coal Grove were all fighting for second in the OVC because of the team the Grove will lose to this coming Friday. As many have said, Ironton is just too much. You could make an all star team of every other OVC school and they might keep it within 3 scores against Ironton.

The reality is and I think most in the OVC are going to agree whether they want to come out and say it or not, none of them are winning the OVC in football anytime soon. With what's going on at Ironton and how they've had an influx of players every single year things don't get better in that department to help out the other teams it only gets worse. With Pendleton at the helm there won't be another OVC team win a league title in football, unless Ironton finds themselves in trouble with OHSAA or something. Mark it down no other team wins a title and I don't think Ironton takes a loss in OVC play from here out, not without something drastic happening. Sorry OVC always playing for 2nd.

I'm not sure just how effective the Hornets run game will be against the Tigers. Ironton has a couple pretty good Linebackers that can make it pretty tough to run on them. If the Grove can't throw the ball effectively at least somewhat, it could be a long night for the Hornets.

Ironton has defeated a team with 3 better backs in the same backfield (Johnson Central), 2 better backs in the same backfield (Wheelersburg), and 1 better back (Jackson), and all 3 had better lines and defenses. If Ironton takes it seriously this one will get ugly.

Ironton 63
Coal Grove 7

It will be a running clock. Coal grove can’t throw, but when he threw against Portsmouth he had a nice arm and threw great spirals. They just don’t run enough pass plays. I’m going 45-7. Stop hall and number 8 and it gets really ugly.

Coal grove coach only one man enough to stand up to cheatum . He was only saying what every other OVC coach has said or thought, they are taking up for their kids ,you can't compete with people that don't play by the rules to better them self.

No OVC team is going to beat Ironton so I say they all just take the forfeit when they play at the tank
