I know that Tri-Valley is always tough to beat, but don't sleep on Bloom-Carroll.

Region 11 has great games this week including this one. No one is the clear favorite imo.

This should be a very competitive game. I agree there is no clear favorite. Looking at the schedules I think Tri-Valley played a tougher schedule (but not by much) with DeSales, Jackson, and Sheridan. Bloom Carroll has a D1 linebacker and Tri-Valley has a sophomore lineman that I expect to have D1 offers in the next couple seasons.

After checking some other scores, I saw that Bloom-Carroll's only loss was by one point the first game of the season to Harvest Prep.

This is a great and true playoff football game. I doubt this game disappoints the football fans.

Taking Bloom Carroll

Who is the sophomore? Oline or Dline?

Gargasz. He plays D line full time and rotates in on offense here and there. His dad was a D lineman for a MAC (division 1 college) team.

Watched a good amount of Bloom Carroll games and highlights the last couple of evenings. They run 95%+. No doubt that are a good solid football team, but they are also aided by a lack of holding calls on some questionable blocks. If few holding calls are made, they could win the region. If the flags are thrown, their chances of winning go way down. Normally the further you go in the tourney, the fewer flags you see.

Outside of their loss to Harvest Prep, Tri-Valley should be the best team they have faced this season. It will be interesting to see how they do against Tri-Valley's passing game.

I'm taking TV with the win by 3. If BC is a running team that should play into a strength of TV defense. I would expect a very low scoring game but TV pulling it out.

Half
Bloom Carroll 10
Tri-Valley 0

Bloom Carroll is as advertised. Power running up the middle. Scored TD on first drive and FG on 2nd drive. TV stopped them on the next 4 drives BC passing game is horrible.

TV in red zone or close 3 times. 2 interceptions and block FG. TV kicker hurt on block. Kicking leg. Done for game.

Final
Bloom Carroll 20
Tri-Valley 7

Bloom Carroll hit a 40 pass that with TV defender in perfect position and swiped to knock the ball away but did not get enough of it (even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while) in the 3rd quarter to set up their only 2nd half touch down.

TV was able to drive the ball but drives ended on an interception and a couple 4th down plays that failed. The only TV score was late in the game with a mix of 1st team and 2nd team D players on the field for BC. TV was able to run the ball and get 4 or 5 yards a run, but once they got off schedule with down and distance the passing game struggled. BC has some good athletes at DB and limited the passing game for TV.

Better team won.
