Planning on making the long trip to Goshen Friday. The Warriors play a hurry up style, hopefully Piketons D must keep everything in front. The Streaks Oline is young, but have looked solid in the 2 scrimmages I have watched. As always, must control the LOS and win the turnover battle!

Piketon is very young, but the Streaks do have some experience returning. Solidifying the lines is the one area I have concerns about. Coach Gullion has several playmakers at his disposal, and I look for the Streaks to come away with the win on Friday.

Goshen is much improved. Their oline is big and they moved the ball well on the ground and in the air in the first half. However, they were hit with several off sides and holding penalties that stalled drives. Piketon started at their own 1, 3 and 12 and struggled deep in their territory. Piketon scored on a scoop and score, then Goshen answered twice before Piketon went hurry up to pull within 1 at halftime, 14 to 15. Second half the Streaks offense got going. Nice runs by Wilson and passes from Gullion put Piketon up early in 4th, 28-15. Goshen pulled within 6 around halfway point of fourth and teams traded punts before Piketon drove to 5 of Warriors, only to turn it over on downs. Goshen drove to Piketons forty, before they turned it over on downs to end the game 28-22. A long drive but good win.

Would like to know what Buddy’s YAC was? Good first win, gotta get the Oline up to speed, as well as the secondary if they want to compete with the top of the SVC.

Piketon is still very young with a good number of kids getting first time varsity experience. I felt the second half we came out and played much better. Young kids will get better it just comes with game time. A great win to start the year.
