At least the Burg should be able to run their spread offense

The only question about this one is will Oak Hill cancel?

Have Oak Hill play Northwest and VC play Burg. Makes better football for general fans. VC is probably not up to that big of a challenge but it would be a good learning experience. Northwest vs Oak Hill would be better too.

They didn’t against Waverly, I suspect they will play this one and it’s at Oak Hill they’ll want to keep this home game

I think I counted 17 dressed kids (sorry if I’m wrong) last game, so they should be okay.

They're already scheduled to play and it's crazy thinking oh let's make this switch.

Burg will be able to pretty much score at will against OH. I'll be surprised if the Oaks can score at all against the Pirates.

I posted this on another thread..

How about oak hill just petition the TVC for membership?
They clearly don’t want to be in the big school soc. If they had a TVC schedule this year, they would be favored against RV, and Alexander. They lost a close game against Wellston in week 1 and they would be in contention with Meigs. What a difference it would make for the oaks. That’s the difference in an 0-10 season and a possible 4-6 year.

Been saying it for 2-3 years now, I have no idea why oak hill doesn’t approach the TVC. Worst thing they can be told is no or maybe they tell them need 1 more team to do this. Whatever it is but if Oak Hill is thinking the SOC is going to fix it it’s not going to happen without more teams being added.

I pretty much agree with both of you, especially if the SOC doesn't do something.

I agree. The TVC Ohio has an odd number of schools and I’m sure RV, Athens, VC and Alexander would appreciate a guaranteed opponent late in the season as opposed to playing whoever they can get. Also, the hocking lost multiple teams over the last few years so I would imagine they would be on board with this as well. If the hocking continues to lose teams, the TVC could have no other choice but to combine divisions and I don’t think anyone wants that.

Since Oak Hill’s 2010 victory against Wheelersburg, they’ve been outscored 474-27.

Wheelersburg owns an 18-9-1 record vs Oak Hill.

No real shock here, I’ve also heard that P. West has found another opponent for the week they were to play OH. Strange it was announced so late

Will the cancellation affect playoff points for Burg?

Pikeville (Ky.) has an open date this week and is looking for a game. Burg and Pikeville played during the COVID year. Would be a really good football game.

This team can’t compete with pikeville. Would be another burg loss. Would finish 5-5 or 6-4. Worst season since?
