#54 has a weird way of blocking on a screen pass. Kind of unorthodox. Northwest defenders, look out for it. You've been warned. lol

It means in the Burg game he had funny way of blocking on the screen pass. You'd have to go back and re-watch it.

Yeah he's a freshman learning, looks like he's taking that push the defender on by to another level. I don't think he's hitting the back of the helmet, kind of hard to see looks like he's clothes lining the guy in the back of the shoulder pads up by the shoulders. Definitely different that's for sure.

Waverly should be able to handle this one, NW has some play makers just not enough of them for this one. Like to see Waverly iron out some things and change up going forward. For starters how about we stop with the RPO/bubble screen stuff, an RPO is designed to get the ball past attacking linebackers and attack the void they're leaving it's why you put the ball in the RBs belly and QB either hands or pulls based on the LBs. This bull crap we run of putting the ball in the running backs belly to decide if we're going to throw a bubble screen is absolutely stupid. 2 things, 1st the guys covering the WRs aren't coming up and committing to tackling a RB when a fake is being made between the guards. 2nd, by placing the ball into the RBs belly only thing you're doing is getting the DBs to come forward to your WR, you know the one you want to throw the ball to?? Just count your defenders stand up and throw the ball the WR and let him work when you have numbers or when DBs are playing back this is the quickest method to getting it to them and letting them make plays they also don't need to be 25 yards away from the end man on the LOS to make this happen. There's been games all year long, MT and West in particular where we could've ran this 10 times with relative ease and this would open up the box and make teams defend the outside more. Just simple things if other teams notice this why don't we?? It's why they leave the numbers the way they do because they know we won't do it. Also defensively same thing on the QB draw against Burg we were outnumbered defensively and NO adjustment made same thing happened against West it's an easy fix yet we haven't done it all season long, heck Oak Hill picked up on it and went down the field.

Waverly very comfortably. I’m sure they will want to get the bad taste out of their mouth from last week. Seems like Waverly has some players who consistently struggle in big games like last week, but will get up and be ready to go against inferior teams. Almost as if they don’t enjoy the challenge of playing against a good or better opponent, I think that mindset is a big negative for the program. I’m not saying everyone in the locker has that mindset, but until that mindset is changed they will continue to not win the big games, for the rest of the season and future. They could benefit from a confident, respectable, vocal leader in the locker room, I think they have missed that this year so far. They have some great players and boys in the locker room, I just don’t think any of them have stepped up to be a true leader.

Exercise the woes that were shown last week, get out healthy and grind it out for a week head into week 10, a win here and next would be huge could be enough to get Waverly a home game week 11. If the season ended today would be 9 and playing Archbishop McNicholas

Might just have to check this one out. Was told a Waverly record could possibly be broken in this game.
