Excited to see this NY team next year. Return a good bit of starters and the 8th grade class coming in is really athletic. Bucks will reload and be ready to make a run for title number 26 next season. I think the title will be decided week 10. VC will have something to say about that and Wellston should be a little better.

With a new coach coming I see Meigs being pretty scary next year. Hope it’s JJ.

You enjoy that game at Waterford. You’re already down by two scores.
Unless they don’t have a kicker. Then it’s 16.

Not a fan of NY playing any Hocking Schools outside of Trimble. It goes against the scheduling philosophy of scheduling bigger schools or powerhouse small schools. Maybe no one else was open that week?

Even though Waterford would consistently beat Meigs, Alex, Wellston, and River Valley?

NY should be in the hocking in every sport besides football. Same for Trimble. Their football programs are two of the best in seo. RV should move to the hocking in all sports. Add oak hill and Gallia to the Ohio and call it a day.

With the way Athens finished I wouldn't count them out.

N. Y. Enrollment numbers are down. 3 teams in hocking with more boys than them.

I’m hearing Wes Briggs is headed north. Sad to lose another talent to VC.

If Eastern accepts Meigs trade offer. The marodders become instant contenders.

If NY wasn't competitive in most sports, I would agree with you. NY competes and wins TVC OHIO titles in multiple sports, so they are better off in the TVC OHIO. Outside of Trimble, all of NY's natural rivals are in the TVC OHIO. NY has no history with most of the TVC HOCKING schools.

NY schedules up in most sports. If you look at the upcoming girls basketball schedule, one could assume the SEOAL still existed and NY was a member.

Man you’ll do anything to get RV out of the Ohio Division won’t you? What you should have done was get Combs to nut up and vote for expanding back when Warren and others wanted in. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about playing RV. But he knew he couldn’t dominate the league with the additions, especially Warren, so he wanted no part of that and he ruled VC while he was there so that was going to be a no vote every time. Yes I realize that VC people like to pretend it had to do with a 30+ year grudge, but it didn’t. It was because Combs didn’t want to have to beat Warren for a league title because he knew he couldn’t.

I think what you’re trying to say is that VC didn’t want the 1.5 hour drive to Barlow. Combs has a winning record against Warren and the “others”. I’m assuming you mean Jackson, Marietta and Logan. Lol try something else.

You do realize this is a football thread don’t you?

Early predictions for 2024..

1. Athens returns a ton.
1a. VC loses some skill and lineman but the foundation is there to compete every year. I see them being right back at the top.
3. NY is always in the mix.
4. Wellston returns maybe just as much as Athens. They will be in the mix.
5. Meigs loses a lot from a team that struggled.
6. RV should be better than last year but they have a long road.
7. Alexander replaces their qb and will need to find an identity.

Dundas is selling the Marauders short in his assessment. Once we get Jeff McElroy hored as HC it will be all over for the rest of the league.
