Recruit speed to be able to compete. Way to slow

I think Harvest Prep is going to be hard to beat in the next few years. They are getting a ton of talent in and #17 is a sophomore. He's a legit stud.

Burg and Ironton are both established programs. They are proven winners over a long period of time , kids will always want to move to winners. Maybe instead of focusing on recruiting they should focus on improving coaching the kids they or improving coaching overall.

Looks like Harvest Prep has outcoached them both this year. You can make the excuse its just because of the recruits but you still have to coach them and have some type of knowledge.

Since MilanSmith took over the program in 2014, all the Warriors have done is win. They’ve reached the playoffs six straight times, advancing to the state semifinals in 2016 and 2019. That resume includes a 37-0 record in Mid-State League play. That's just from 2020. They only have 79 boys in the school pretty impressive.

He is also a very successful track coach has most of his kids competing on the track too. They are a state powerhouse in track

Prep may be a lot better coached than the past but they aren’t winning because of coaching.

Being D5 with only 79 boys should tell you something about those 79 boys😂

Must be winning due to coaching and the kids. It's hard to accept sometimes that you maybe lacking in coaching it's ok. It's a lot easier to make excuses.

Burg fans say they have "superior coaching and culture" and yet over the last 2 aeasons vs Ironton, Jackson, Prep and West, Burg is 1 - 9.

So if the superiority is true ( it's not lol) that means Burg just isn't talented.

Prep coaches have much better results over the last 3 years than Burg coaches.

Ironton over the last 5 years has been to more title games than burgs entire programs history.

The truth is THIS: on seops Burg is given way too much credit.

Middle of the road program.

Ironton is established.

Burg is a bubble team program.

Meanwhile burg has only made it past the region 3 times in over 25 years. Lol

Prep is the better coached program by far.

Ironton is established.

Burg is a bubble team program.
Don't get me wrong
Ironton is an established program
Wheelersburg is an established program.

Wheelersburg is not a bubble team Most playoff appearances ever

Ironton, Newark Catholic, Moeller- 39
Mogadore 37-
Big Red -36 My alma mater
Wheelersburg 35- that's good company they are in all time

I have been living in SE Ohio for 23 years now and those 2 programs and Jackson are good consistently good the best in SE ohio and are consistently in the playoffs and seem to be in the playoff hunt every year. Hopefully one brings home a state title sometime.

Burg has won their region a TOTAL of 3 times in over 25 years.

That is a mediocre program. It's about what opportunities you create for ya program and Burg simply doesn't create opportunities.

Ironton has lost state title games but they've also played in more in the last 5 seasons than Burg has in program history. Burg is a mediocre program present day.
