Great hire for Rock Hill. Interesting to see Love want to get back in the game in a whole new place. Hopefully he does well.

I’m curious as to see a turnaround at the Hill. I’m not sure what they bring back, but they might surprise some folks this year if everyone buys into the new coach.

I think they missed the boat on this one could have had some young coach. This program needs someone 24/7 to get it back on its feet.

They missed on hiring a guy who won a state title? lol. You must be one of the young coaches that were passed over.

I think they got it right! Only time will tell. They need someone who knows the game and can work with what they have to win.

He’s retired from teaching. More time to devote to coaching. I’ve heard he’s going to sub at the school. He will be around. I will say the way this works is getting a young coach as an assistant (such as Wilds or Culbertson) to learn the ropes that way when Love is ready to retire, someone can take over.

No I am not but keep in mind what type culture and talent is within the RH school system. Nothing wrong with the culture at RH but just like the last coach not a good fit for the school and the kids.

I can kind of see your point. Ashland and Rock Hill are two very different cultures and environments

I think that Rock Hill got it right. With that being said, they’re nowhere close to being 10-0. Stability is key. Getting kids out. The man did his research and will bring cultural changes to the program. He mentioned the Junior High numbers being in the 40’s and already looking at current personnel and offensive and defensive schemes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a quick turnaround if the kids, community, and school district buys into what he implements.

I agree. I think if everyone is on board, they should have a better record at the end of the season. I think 5-5 to 6-4 would be a good start. Looking at the first three games, I think they can start out 2-1 or 3-0. I could be wrong, but if they can start out with some wins and build some confidence, they might have a winning record by year’s end.
