Coal grove wanted ironton out of the ovc now we could see those 2 meeting in a playoff game. Col grove and fairland were d6 and bumped up.

I don’t want Ironton and Coal Grove to have to play. Upset alert, it was 0-0 after the 1st a few years back.

I believe Africentic returns a great deal of talent from last year depending on if they transferred out or not. I saw them late in the season and they were pretty darn good with some electric playmakers.

NY back in D.V for the first time since 2016. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Region 19 used to be a long time home for NY. 1998-2012. (Before 7 divisions)

Region 19 belongs to Harvest Prep until someone beats them. Best Prep In the post season, and you will likely be region champ.

Does NY have bigger classes or is it just that other schools are shrinking faster than NY right now?

It would be neat if NY played Morgan in the playoffs. The schools are only 35 miles from each other and yet they have never played each other in football! I think that is the closest school to NY that NY has never played. It's kind of hard to believe they have never scheduled a nonconference game being that close.

Next closest never played teams----

Lancaster 35.5 miles
Lancaster Fisher Catholic 36.6 miles
Sheridan - 36.7 miles

There’s a huge glut of schools that swelled up to D6 through a combination of CB’s and big classes. 103 schools in D6 where the spread is 43 boys. That’s tight on schools like NY that would’ve otherwise been D6 before competitive balance was a thing.

Is Portsmouth West no longer in Division 5 region 19? I haven’t seen them as listed as being in this division and region. Did they jump back up to division IV region 16?

I think the freshman class coming in is large. I wouldn’t quote me on that though. Some pretty good athletes in the class as well.

If that’s the case region 19 will never make it back to the state title game…how unfortunate.

True. We need teams representing the region that can actually win the title. Prep has zero and IHS last won a title when California voted Republican!

So since Wheelersburg has only managed to escape their region around 3 times in the last 30 years Ironton & Prep are the only hope. Got it. 💯 #softballschool
