Reds too cheap to pick up Miley's $10 million dollar contract option and get nothing in return. I think we now know what Nick Krall meant when he said the owners had to examine their budget before making any moves. Castellanos, Barnhart, and now Miley gone The Reds have unloaded $34 million dollars in productive payroll. Also read they are shopping Winker in the trade market so it looks like another rebuild project for Cincy.

I second that emotion Geronimo. Still he is better than Robert Nutting in Pittsburgh.

The only real positive about Castellini, is that his ownership represents local Cincinnati interests. I fear selling the team would wind up with the Reds moving to Raleigh, Charlotte, or Montreal. I know history would demand the Reds stay in Cincy, but $$$ will trump tradition.
