So far its only the coaching staff, Bengals defense coor is gone and the linebacker coach will not be there in 2008. This is fine by me for a def that ranked 28,30 and 27 in the last 3 years

marv wants rex ryan , def coor of the ravens . but he is being hit up for some head coaching jobs. ravens had the no1 def in past fews years and havent dropped below no. 5.

Marvin has proven he can retool a floundering franchise. Now he needs to demonstrate that he knows how to get his team to the next level. God knows he's had enough time.

next level ? superbowl ? Are they a floundering franchise because they havent been to the superbowl since 1988. There is some other teams have done worse. Have they been a flounering team longer ? won afc north in 2005 . Lost there qb . Lost almost half the team he built . Had to start over . Even when they were a floundering team , didnt they still beat cleveland in those years . Is the browns a flounding team too, since they have never been to the next level ? 8)

Keeping coaches too long like shula and players like qb klinger. when you judge a team you have to campare apples to apples or you really dont know how there doing . Cleveland is the best team to compare bengals against ,i think. both cities about the same , both in ohio . both had paul brown infulance.

Durning the 90s i would have to say the bengals did better. the best cleveland did was 2 in divison in 94. Thats it !! Bengals got first in 1990 and they have also gotten 2nd in the 90s. They were tied 15-15 playing each other . A divison win plus a second would put them above the browns . Do you want to talk 80s  I would say the browns had a decade of (floundering)

In the 80s the bengals won 2 afc championship trophys , and 2 superbowls appearances. losing one in the last 34 seconds . probley the best superbowl ever played. the bengals hosted 2 of the best qbs in the league
in ken anderson and boomer. boomers stats were higher than the great joe montanna going into superbowl 88 . I would have to say the 80s were the bengals . The bengals had one of the best offences in the league if not the best. 8)
