Akron RubberDucks(Cleveland)61-42 @ Erie Sea Wolves(Detroit)49-53

The Ducks jumped out to a 2-0 lead, after three innings.
The Wolves slowly got things going enough to lock things up at two, after eight.
At this point Akron had just four hit, while Erie had total 7. Pitching turned in bigtime pitches many of times in this one, as neither offense was really able to string together much at all.

In the top of ninth, Bobby Bradley blasted a solo bomb(22) to give Akron, what turned out to be the winning run. Bradley strikes out a lot, but like Dave Kingman,he can hit the ball a long ways when he makes contact.
