The Reds are definitely on the right track to becoming a playoff team soon, maybe not this year but not long after that. The reason is because they finally have developed a solid pitching staff. For most of the year, Cincinnati has been in the top 3 or 4 of all baseball in team ERA. Good pitching is a must if a team wants to be playoff bound. The Reds have it, and it won't be long before they make the postseason.

As of 6/27, the Reds are on a four game losing skid as they open a three game home set with the division leading Chicago Cubs. The Red's are back in last place but only 6.5 behind the first place Cubbies.

Huge win to take the series from the Cubs. Need to finish this week off strong while at home. Would be nice to head into the all star break with a record right at 500. On a side note, Luis Castillo is the Reds lone representative for the ASG. Thought Garrett might get a spot, Castillo pitched awesome early, well deserved.
